okay so you don't get fancy frills, posh resaurant,or bar.but what you do get is a very nice small family run hotel.the owners (nikki & george) give you the most friendly welcome you could wish for.this hotel is a good 25 min walk to agios nikolaos but you do get to walk along the promanade so it does'nt seem that far.the rooms are cleaned out by nikki(who is in her early sixties),she does all the work herself washing sheets etc.george is the repair man.the rooms are spacious with bathroom, twin beds or double.plenty of storage space.if you go b&b you will probably get one of the rooms overlooking the bay.you get you own balcony with seats and table.breakfast is tradditional greek,a bit like a continental breakfast.this is a quiet hotel, young couples with families don't seem to come.they should because there is a beach a few yards away with sun loungers,a bar.and variouswater related things to hire.the hotel has its own pool with various sun loungers to relax on.agios nikolaos itself is quite a lively town at night, with many bars and restaurants.
we come here twice a year now as we love the area and have done since 2004.we fell in love with the town and have made many friends here including nikki and george.this year we are going for three weeks .the town and its people are all very friendly
and if you can manage the odd word in greek, they really do appreciate the effort you have made. effcharisto (thank you)
