Doloma is a traditional, family run taverna, on the street Kalergon, just behind the old shipyards. It offers great value for money, and serves dishes which vary slightly from day to day, but usually include beef, pork and fish, as well as traditional boureki, moussaka, and much more; all washed down with the delicious house white!
DO NOT make the mistake of basing your decision on the menu posted outside. Although extensive, the real recommendation is to be found in the warming cabinets just inside the doors.
There, all of the days' dishes are on display with further explanation or clarification, if any is necessary, by the owner. This is also an opportunity to see the high standards maintained in the kitchen.
Completely devoid of all the fuss and "pushiness" of some of the bigger restaurants, Doloma is a peaceful oasis of great food and value, and should not be missed.
