“Avoid!”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 May 2013

First evening in Chania, we were very tired, we were looking on another restaurant. We didn't find it then, it was dark and we were hungry and tired.. So we must eat something. So these waiters asked us to come eat traditional cretan food.. oh no. I almost guessed then what it will be...They didn't bring us any menu... we wanted cretan food.. so they proposed us Cretan plate for two. We took that. It was so and so... Not good. Plate and 1 kilo wine cost us 48 euro!! We stayed in Chania 2 weeks. This was our worst experience. Everywhere else we ate and drank well under 30 euro.

“Industrial, pricely and very oily food”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 April 2013

This restaurant wants you to believe that just because it is not located in the very centre of touristic Chania, it is traditional. It's not true! The food is awfully expensive, oily, without much taste and you can clearly see that it was not freshly prepared. And they make you pay 2€ per person just for the fact that you came to eat there... It is one more tourist-trap. We were really disappointed...

“Good honest food with a good honest family at very good value.”

This restaurant is very close to our hotel and as the lovely man always said hello we decided to call in. The family were lovely, very helpful and the food was good. Well worth calling in for a simple lunch.

“Disappointed”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 March 2013

We went there because the place looks traditional, small and cozy. Mr Giorgis offered us a tsikoudia and he was friendly. We order a mix meat dish for 2 (on the menu the price was €28). The taste and quality of the meat was so and so and he also served us some cheap sausages. The desert was some strawberries with no taste at all. The salad was the best dish. Finally we payed €60 (from which €34 was mix meat dish)!!! Too much money for very medium quality and quantity.

“Great hospitality, good food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 March 2013 via mobile

George the owner showed us the way to our hotel. We were invited for a raki and a little later we were eating delicious fresh food. I tried the lamb which was very tasty, my collegues the fresh fish plate (oh so good!) and liver which was not our favorite. Unfortunately the restaurant is located in a narrow street without a nice view, but the enthousiasm and spontanity of the owner made it for us a unique experience
