This hotel is wonderfully located, right next to the inner harbour in Chania. Some of the rooms have views of the harbour itself, though ours didn't. The room itself was ok, if a little bland, and with two single beds even though we had specified we were on our honeymoon! Better value for money is available elsewhere in this lovely little city, try rooms Varna near the Cathedral.

On the plus side, the buffet breakfast was excellent.

We spent 3 nights at the P.V. and enjoyed it very much. The rooms are clean and serviceable, although the ambiance is a bit motel-ish, of good size by European standards with reasonable closet space. The bathroom was small, clean, with a shower only. The balcony was alsy tiny, barely room for a small table & 2 chairs, but offered a wonderful view of the harbor, marina and lighthouse - very pleasant to watch the sunset from here, on the one clear evening we had! We also appreciated the fresh fruit in our room when we arrived.
The staff was gracious and helpful. Breakfast was very good, with fresh-squeezed orange juice. The location was great, right on the water and a few minutes' walk into the center of the old town. If you are renting a car I think this location is perfect, as you're close to a large free parking lot (although we always found street parking nearby) and the agency delivered the car to our front door. A good base from which to explore Crete - I would not hesitate to stay here again.

We stayed for a week at this hotel. We had a sea view room on the third floor which offered the most fantastic views of the harbour. Our room was of a reasonable size and was clean and comfortable. Staff at the hotel were helpful and friendly and happy to lend us an umbrella when we had an unexpected thunder storm! The hotel is located at the end of Chania's smaller harbour and is near the more traditional fish restaraunts. But it is only a short and very attractive walk to the busier and larger harbour and the delights of the old town. We ate a different place every night - all excellent meals and service. The hotel is also near a large and free parking area. Chania is an ideal base for exploring the amazing scenery and beaches of western Crete. We would thoroughly recommend this hotel, Chania and Crete!

The location of the hotel is great. It is right by the center of Chania but away enough that you don't have to hear the noise. The rooms are very small, the bed not very comfy, and the bathroom is tiny - even by NYC standards. Despite all that, the service and location of the hotel makes up for room.

Title says it all. Spent a night there. Really enjoyed it. Great view of the harbor, spacious room (suite), helpful staff. Certainly not a luxury hotel but that aside they do a very nice job.

Many have commented it is the best in Chania. It may well be, I don't know, but I certainly liked it and would recommend it.

The location is fantastic maybe the best in the old town of Chania, but that's all, the rooms are ....nothing, the breakfast is cheap and the room was very expensive.
We paid for a "suite" with the perfect view to the harbor 180 euro per night, but i didn;t had shower because the bathroom looked dirty and we didn t had breakfast, because the breakfast was very low quality.

when I entered this hotel I was a bit disappointed, mainly because I stayed in the 5 star royal olympic in athens, but a short walk in the city of hania made me realize it's the best in the city, good spread in breakfast, nice bar with outdoor seating area, friendly staff, however the rooms have a typical 3-star style with a little stain in the shower that didn't bother me much.
