I recently stayed at Casa Delfino with my daughter and we never wanted to leave! The staff is incredible, they went above and beyond to make sure that we were comfortable and happy. We felt as if we were part of the family!

We stayed in a One Bedroom Suite. Our room had a view of the Old Venetian Port which was gorgeous in both daytime and at night. The room was very clean and we had plenty of space. We didn't have a balcony, but enjoyed watching the sunset from the roof.

Breakfast was outstanding!! Everything is fresh, homemade and organic. My daughter is lactose-intolerant and they went out and bought her lactose-free milk immediately after we checked in (we didn't even ask!).

The staff's recommendation of things to do in Chania, including where to eat, were impeccable. They made sure that we got the real feel of the city by avoiding places that were too touristy. They all seemed to know so much about the history of Chania and their hotel (some of them are Delfinos). Everyone was warm and welcoming, they always seemed happy to chat with us.

The old town of Chania is completely enchanting and we were so happy to be staying in the heart of it. Casa Delfino is an amazing hotel in a perfect location, and we hope to be able to return one day!

We spent three nights at Casa Delfino in the Executive Suite. Our experience from beginning to end was outstanding. The location is the old town is perfect. The villas are beautifully restored with careful attention paid to all details to ensure both aesthetic and physical comfort. The separate shower and freestanding tub in our room were luxurious and particularly welcomed after a long and dusty day of hiking in the Samaria Gorge. Breakfast as mentioned in many reviews was delicious and served in a beautiful open courtyard. All recommendations regarding where to eat were spot on, in particular Portes was excellent. Staff were uniformly friendly and went out of their way to ensure our comfort. Margarita, who manages the hotel, is an exceptional person; she clearly loves the hotel and loves people and wants to ensure that your experience is the best. I'm not sure if we were more sad to be leaving the hotel after three days or leaving Margarita, but we are clear that we will return and recommend this hotel without hesitation. It is worth the extra!!

The location is excellent, if a little hard to find at first. We were upgraded to the Honeymoon Suite for no apparent reason, which is always nice! The staff were superb, recommending on ways to fill up our days there, directions and really good restaurant recommendations. If you tell them where you'll be eating, they'll ring ahead and make sure you get a good table when you arrive. It's a real homely vibe, super friendly without overdoing it.

My husband and I sadly spent only one night at this lovely hotel but wished we could have spent a week. The hotel was beautiful, the entire staff gracious and charming, they sat down at breakfast and told us all about Chania, gave directions, recomendations. We stay at 5 star Four Season type properites very often and this hotel can stand up to any of them. Since it was our first stop after the long flight from California, they were gracious enough to assist us in arranging a private taxi directly to their hotel, and even let us check into our room when we arrived at 7am! What service. The breakfast was amazing, many items made by the young proprietresses grandmother, and it was quite hearty. This young woman seemed years older, she had a wonderful manner and made every guest feel special, and obviousy has trained her staff to do the same. Our room was downstairs just off the courtyard, it had a huge jetted tub, living area, large comfy bed and a seperate bedroom. The hotel is perfectly situated easy walking to the harbor and all Chania sites. The courtyard is actually lovelier then the pictures show and we watched many people walk by stop and come back to take a picture. Our only regret was that we only had one night at this perfect hotel. We later stayed at the Hotel Gritti in Venice, they could really take some lessons from Casa Delfino on guest relations and service. Thank you again for a wonderful wonderful stay we hope we can come back again for a longer visit.

Casa Delfino is a 5 Star establishment but that should not be confused with 5 Star Hotel. It is a former villa which has been converted. The grounds/premises are exceptionally well kept and it is worth seeing even if you're not actually staying there. While we agree with pretty much everything written in previous reviews we could not say we'd enjoy the breakfast for more than a day or two. Although it is definitely home made and delicious, it's limited to mostly sweets (cakes/pies which to us are more for dessert rather than breakfast), dry cereal and hard/soft boiled eggs and toast. Had we stayed for more than 3 days we would have ventured out to find something else. This in no way affects our overall opinion that CD is an outstanding establishment to which we would definitely stay again.

Staff and service is good. Breakfast was good too. Not amazing stuff, but all tasty .The rooms, although very clean are very outdated, plain and quite boring. We paid about 200 euros for a standard room. The truth is that price is not met our expectations. The hotel is situated in the old town of Chania. We thought that it overlooks the old port, but we were wrong. Due the location and the narrows streets is difficult to find a place to park your car in the public area few minutes walk from hotel

We stayed for 3 nights, the rooms were all beautiful, we had an wonderful patio, and a great view of the old harbor. If you don't like stairs, this might not be the place for you. Otherwise, it's amazing. Everyone was very friendly, spoke english very well, and the jellies, maramalades, and the eggs cooked to your liking were such a treat every morning. We would stay again next time we visit Chania.
