I had booked with a Backroads cycling tour and we stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. The hotel was a little bit of heaven at the end of a difficult cycling trip each day. The room was spacious and very clean. The jacuzzi was very much appreciated after the long uphill climbs on my bike. The best part of the Casa Delfino was the hotel staff. They were so friendly, helpful and kind. Anything I needed was taken care of by staff. The hotel is a real gem.

Room Tip: Some of my travelling companions said that they had ~60 steps to get to their room. Ask for a suite...

This stylish family run hotel certainly ticked all the right boxes. Its special location made me think I was part of a film set.All the staff were so friendly and genuine in their efforts to make our stay memorable. The leading light being Aris who became our where to go and restaurant guide.Breakfast was a feast. The Orange cake the star of the show.Eating in the charming courtyard was so atmospheric you could almost envisage an appearance of the Capulets and Montagues. We stayed in the Presidential Suite which was so calming, even though i experienced a mini earthquake during my stay! The steps, without a handrail, to the roof terrace were a challenge for my adventurous 20 month old granddaughter. The view of the Port fascinating and the roof terraces cool for cats and no one thinks twice about them being there. We all want to return.

Casa Delfino scores very highly both as an excellent hotel and its location in a quiet pedestrianised street just 2 minutes from the beautiful harbour. My wife and I stayed for a week at the end of October and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Although the first room we were shown was not entirely to our taste the staff were extremely helpful in showing us alternative rooms and the one we chose,no 4,was a delightful room, with a downstairs lounge and shower room,a mezzanine bedroom and a balcony overlooking the courtyard. The room was spacious.and clean and the bed was comfortable.
For breakfast, which is in the lovely courtyard, there was a great range of food and the staff were happy to cook any hot dishes,as required.
The staff were all extremely pleasant and helpful, with advice on restaurants, places to see, arranging transfers etc.and the owner is personally involved in making sure you enjoy your stay.
The only other point which potential visitors should be aware of is that as this is a converted villa there are no lifts to the standard rooms. The rooms are on 2 floors so if you have any problems with stairs it makes sense to stipulate a first floor room. All 22 rooms are different so it is not possible to give any further general guidance.
In summary I thoroughly recommend this hotel.

Excellent breakfast!

I will go back any time. Do not miss it.

My wife and I booked the Casa del Fino for the second week of our Cretan Holiday purely on recommendation of a Greek friend who had visited the Hotel but not stayed, and his advice was accurate. The hotel belonged to the grandmother of the "Porter", Aris, who we find is actually her grandson and part owner, a charming, educated and genuine person, fluent in many languages and talents. This is common with all the staff whos friendliness is more than surface cervility, they are all fabulous.
The rooms are all large, even the small ones! and each one is diferent. On our first night we decided we would like an upgrade and this was given without fuss and at no extra cost.
The Hotel is situated within the Old Town Fortress walls and surrounded by a labirynth of old streets and steps, yet only 100 meters from the harbor.
Christina, one of the highly efficient receptionists even became a voluntary secretary for the week and nothing was too much, I even had a kiss on the cheek on departure!
To Aris, Marguerita, Christina and all the other staff, thanks, you made our Holiday, and well be back . Barrie and Marcia Carter 12 to 19th Oct. 2013

Room Tip: They are all exceptional and individual

This is a gorgeous place with top prices but an unfortunately grumpy desk staff.
Our room was a strange tunnel with little natural light. The bar staff will grudgingly agree to serve drinks at the tables on the roof, which offer memorable views of the harbor. Parking is on the surrounding streets and one must avoid residents-only lots.

Room Tip: Ask to overlook the courtyard for a room with light
