My wife and I are so happy to have booked this hotel. We have a total of 4 days in Crete, and this hotel has made our trip so amazing so far...today being the 3rd day.

They have made all arrangements for us, including the usual such as taxi transfer from the airport, taxi to other places....and the unusual such as the receptionist calling her own friends to see if any events were happening in town after I asked what the locals were doing on Friday night.

All the suggestions made to us including local places to eat, villages to visit, renting a car, what to avoid, etc have been absolutely priceless and have made our trip so enjoyable.

The hotel itself is very clean, well kept, staff 24/7 ready to help, answer questions, give you directions etc. The room is perfect in every which way, quiet at nights, and comfortable bed to sleep in.

Last but not least, the breakfast is absolutely amazing. You will have locally sourced foods (like eggs) and the pastries/breads are made by the aunt and grandmother of one of the staff at the hotel. Such a great way to start your day here and then go off to explore this beautiful island.

Spent some very nice days in Casa Delfino in Chania's old town, which we found to be a most pleasant place to stay .
To start with, all the staf did their utmost to make this holiday a success, also by giving suggestions for restaurants and trips in the surrounding aerea.
We found the old, but nicely restored house to have a lot of personality with its large rooms and inviting courtyard (although with the seasonal rain the courtyard was of course not really the place to linger).
We stayed in a ground level room, but our daughter's room required lots of stairs to climb. (In another part of the hotel higher levels (and the roof terrace **** !) can be reached by a lift.
Breakfasts offered a lot of variety (beware of those tempting sweet calories !)

My wife and I had the pleasure to spend one night in this charming hotel in July 2013. Upon arrival, we were upgraded to a top floor room with a terrace, which is really very beautiful, calm and relaxing. The choice of materials for the bathrooms and the room could not have been better. Mattress was excellent and the quality of our sleep as well. The staff was extremely polite and kind. The breakfast was simply amazing and we have great memories of it. We strongly recommend this hotel

We spent a week in the Master Suite at ground floor: very comfortable, large room and very quiet. All people at the hotel were very friendly ( especially Ari, who gave us good tips for our visits). Also we had some nice weather for a mid-november

I have stayed at Casa Delfino many times over the years and it's still my favourite hotel in Europe. The staff are friendly and welcoming, rooms are spacious and full of character, breakfast is delicious and the view from the roof terrace is stunning.

I always read some of the negative reviews of places I plan to stay before I go, mainly to avoid obvious hell holes, but also so that minor disadvantages don't come as an unexpected disappointment.
The problems with Casa Delfino really are of the minor inconvenience variety, in no way subtract from the overall quality of the experience and are far outweighed by the plus marks.
Firstly, the staff are very welcoming and helpful, excellent restaurant recommendations, the rooms are modern and very comfortable, I slept very well. The location for me couldn't be better. Everywhere is walking distance. The breakfast was very nice also.
Bad points? OK so the view wasn't good, but if you want a view you step outside and 30 seconds later you're standing on the water's edge looking across the beautiful harbour. It would have been nice to have a view from the room, but it really is a minor point. If you need a taxi and it can't come to the alley, it's only a couple of minutes walk, not a problem for me at all.
I have no problem recommending Casa Delfino wholeheartedly.

Room Tip: Room 5 split level bathroom/lounge and bedroom, so if you need to go in the night after too much wi...
