“Wonderful, welcoming and very relaxing”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 July 2014

I went to this Hotel the beginning of July with my brother, his friend (both in the early 20s) and my mum. The Hotel staff were all extremely welcoming and happy to help. The rooms were clean and we really enjoyed our time there. It is in a good location and offers free transport to local activities such as the water parks and karting.

Have to mention in particular the bar staff. Louis makes the best mojitos, George is always friendly and happy to help and Maria is a wonderful waitress who can always be found with a smile. The service is quick and efficient an creates a real welcoming environment.

Would definitely recommend this Hotel and I will be returning in the future.

Very helpful and nice hotel staff all of them Maria, Andromachi, barmen didn't remember the name :) and Nick !!! Thanks for all of them. Taxi from the airport Chania cost 35EUR. Bus stops near hotel and the trip to Chania cost 1.60EUR. The sea and the beach just cross the street.

When planning a trip to Crete one thing you need to take into consideration - the airport is in the middle of nowhere! This hotel is located outside of the city so it's going to be a little pricey to get here (35-40 euro) unless you are extremely bus schedule savvy.
We chose a cab outside the airport and it cost 40€. When getting back we negotiated 28 and this was at 0730 on a Sunday! Haggle!!
The hotel has lots of signs on a very busy street lined with restaurants and "junk" stores. It is a bit confusing - there is an attached bar out front. You walk down the streets and up the stairs to the beautiful lobby with marble designs. We were warmly greeted. I had emailed before about transportation and due to email issues communication wasn't in our favor. We stayed in room 107 - a cute little room with 2 twin beds and nice balcony. The tiny tv on the wall is a joke - it won't even turn on. We also had a fridge, which we should have stocked up with beverages. A few extra towels would have been nice as this is near the beach and a pool - you might want to bring your own. They charge for extra. The bathroom is pretty small but was clean. We struggled with flushing the toilet - had never seen where you pull up. The hotel helped us arrange for a hop on/hop off bus and even got us to the pick up. The only problem is getting home, which we figured out the city bus, which is stop three and everyone was SO KIND! Breakfast at the hotel is eggs, coffee, a "juice" and bread - that's it. You find a better breakfast on the beach. The pool is very nice with the bar and less crowded than the beaches (and no sand!). The only problem we felt was the constant slamming of doors - not sure if it was wind, but woke us up at night. One of the owners, Nick, lived in New York and is opening an American style restaurant. Everyone speaks great English and was very hospitable and kind. Hope to stay again!

The choice of 4 portuguese friends to sleep in agia marina for 4 nights.
The hotel is very good for the price and location amazing.
The best thing is the people working here.
Mary at the reception desk helped in everything. She is really nice!
Next time i go to chania i will sleep here for sure.

Hotel rooms were clean and of a usual standard for Greece but NO KETTLE !!!!!!!!!! The sandy beach is just across the busy road from the hotel and sunbeds are 5E or free is you purchase drinks from the bar. The big downside is the constant pestering by sellers, massage [the worst every few minutes] bracelets 'Rolex' watches, sunglasses, hair braiding, fruit, doughnuts, linen. It got so bad we ignored them as we got fed up with saying 'no thank you'. The resort is very busy and consists of a very long strip of restaurants, shops etc. but we could find no entertainment after 10.30. The majority of tourists are Scandinavian, only one other british couple in our hotel, and therefore all the bars have sport etc geared towards the majority.
The local bus service is good and leaves from the front of the hotel every 30 mins to Chania. Chania is worth a visit but beware of prices on the harbour we ordered 2 large beers and expected to pay a premium but not 17.70E. On the positive side we were given a free drink by the barman at Pelagos after we told him about the overcharging and also had a lovely meal which included an excellent seafood platter at 'Kopayi' restaurant also on the harbour front.
We will possibly return to Crete but not this resort

-The hotel is located in Agia Marina, outside of Chania city. Location is full of touristic shops and bars. You need a car to do anything-either to go to beaches or to visit chania city. Public transportation is a trouble there.
-The hotel is clean and quiet. Does not have anything special.
-Recommended only because of its cheap price-only for staying a few nights.
