Description: Located on potie"s stone paved small alley,a hidden oasis in the heart of Chania"s old town!Full of colors, lush of plantation, original artistic creations made of wood, soil and clay. Our dishes are inspired from the old Cretan cuisine , but with a small twist, just to be more fresh and full of original flavors ..Open from morning hours with all sorts of coffees, juices, special tea and herbs, home-made pies, a lot of vegetarian dishes, local fresh meat and vegetables in different recipes every day!!!!Open until late hours with nice music, fine Raki , Oyzo, wine and local cocktails!!! wellcome to join us!!!

My wife and I tried this restaurant because you could see all the dishes being cooked fresh and they were local Cretan style.
You can order the dishes almost like a meze, but they are a bit bigger, so about 4 is well enough.
Sliced smoked pork lovely, fresh mussels pronounced delicious by my wife, stuffed aubergine flowers really fresh and tasty.
Some of the dishes are very traditional, so its a question of taste, but they are all cooked with care.
Nice courtyard surrounding with friendly service, even a couple of musicians playing traditional music, not too loud to interfere with your enjoyment of the meal.
No hesitation to recommend if you like good local cuisine at a very good price.
Go early, it does get busy and justifiably so.

We have been eating at restaurants with a good Tripadvisor rating, for the most part, and so far it's served us well, so to speak. We couldn't find this one on our first try but did the next night. We weren't too hungry so just had mains: shrimp saganaki and a liver dish, because my wife likes liver. Both were delicious. Service was attentive and prompt and there was no attempt to drop bread we hadn't ordered off at our table and then charge us for it. I think we'll manage a return trip before we leave town.

Had a lovely meal here. Hundreds of restaurant options in Hania but this was round the corner from our apartment. Very friendly, lovely setting - quieter, away from the busy main harbour area. Beautiful Geeek Salad with local cheese instead of feta, warm baked feta and tomato jam, shrimps in tomato sauce, potato and smoked sausage. Rose wine. All really, really delicious. And the sweetest kitten cat to help us eat it!! 32Eur all is. Great value. Would highly recommend.

Superb friendly service, uniquely designed hip environment, great selection of tasty dishes. Pea creme with pita bread and grilled veggies was fab, though latter had too much cream cheese as topping for my taste. Prices very reasonable. Great overall experience, highly recommended!

We found out about this restaurant from TripAdvisor and it indeed is a great place to visit for delicious local dishes for very reasonable money. After a big meal we got a dessert and some local alcohol for free. The staff were nice and helpful and we didn't have to wait long for our food. Don't hesitate and visit when you have a chance :)
