Fabulous staff! Fabulous views! Fabulous time! The hotel makes you feel like a celebrity. We had the most amazing stay and would definitely go back! The breakfast every morning was delicious! The pool and beach were clean and very fun.

We've just returned from 6 lovely days at The Domes and are going to return.

My main reason for writing is that this was our first holiday abroad since discovering our 3 year old had a very severe nut allergy. Something like this is esoteric - suffice to say that eating out is a horribly worrying experience and you have to be armed with either the language, or allergy translation cards as well as medication, epi-pens etc...basically your holiday joie de vivre is very compromised to put it mildly.

We needn't have worried at The Domes, I'm still stunned at the care of the staff in the restaurants for our daughter. We didn't feel a burden, and nothing was too much trouble - different desserts made for her, separately cooked food etc. Yorgos, the Sous Chef is quite frankly the most amazingly wonderful man in the world and both my husband and I, and our daughter will always look back on this holiday and how he made it so perfect and relaxed for us all.

To say they go the extra mile at Domes would be a profound understatement. If you want a beautiful location, great facilities, gorgeous accommodation, wonderful service and to have your faith in humanity restored, visit Domes!

Everyone from the lovely guys ferrying you around in the golf carts, to the waiters/waitresses and reception/concierge - the fact that everyone other family is smiling and happy and feeling the same way as you - but for us, most of all Yorgos - made this the best holiday we could ever have dreamed of.

Room Tip: We had a Premium One Bed Suite with Private Pool - booked via MrandMrsSmith.Com on a very good rate...

We stayed at the Domes of Elounda for 10 days and couldn't have been more pleased with our choice. This stylish hotel really has the wow factor. Everything about it from the wonderful location on a hillside overlooking Spinalonga and the Gulf of Elounda to the creative combination of traditional and modern architecture and furniture spells out individuality and attention to detail. On arrival we were greeted warmly by George whose wonderful welcome was typical of the excellent service we received from all the staff throughout our stay. Everyone, whatever their role or responsibility, was totally committed to giving all guests a memorable experience, this has to be down to very skillful management, good staff selection and brilliant training.
We had a split level, pool suite which had a sunny roof terrace with wonderful views and also a shady terrace by the pool where we sat when we wanted to cool off, it was just lovely.
We also enjoyed the delicious and varied food in the main restaurant, and we were extremely impressed by the high standard of live music in the restaurant and bar.
Because there are so many places in the world to visit we don't usually go to the same place more than once, however we may make an exception for the Domes, it is certainly somewhere which calls you back.

From the moment you arrive you are made to be made special. George welcomes you and takes you to a lovely balcony overlooking Spinalonga. You are given a lovely cold glass of champayne and a chance to relax afer your journey while George checks you in.
Our two roomed suite was so nice, comfortable and spacious. A lovely balcony with comfortable sofas, the views from the balcony were amazing. Also a lovely hot tub on the balcony.
The food in the restaurant was excellent. So much to choose from. Everynight was themed.
The only downside was sometimes it got a bit noisy with the children.
The staff were so good nothing was to much trouble. Stainis and Sam in the restaurant were good. The lounge barstaff, Nikos on the beach, Cristian who always helpful and cheerful. George who was always helpful, wonderful staff.
Its about a 10 minute walk to Plaka which is a really nice village. Nice little shops and tavernas. Also can catch the ferry to Spinalonga. The Carob Tree is really nice to have lunch or a drink, the staff are lovely.
All in all a wonderful holiday.

Room Tip: have a two roomed suite with sea views

We returned last night after a week at the Domes, the location is spectacular , we were high and therefore had 180 degree sea views and across to the island of Spinalonga (which is well worth a visit from Plaka by ferry). Our room was spacious and comfortable, being up the hill was no problem as the hotel provided golf carts and willing fantastic staff to ferry us up and down and to the beach. The food was excellent and although we did eat out at the Carob Tree in Plaka (superb) we also had fantastic meals at the Domes that were authentically Cretan and good value. Breakfast was varied ,well presented and cooked, loved being able to sit outside, the beach restaurant was so good we ate there 3 times. Pool area is beautiful with one of the best views in the world, the beach had everything, sea, sand and grass with or without shade and a lovely bar ,coffee was fantastic wherever you got it in the resort, It is a family friendly hotel but we didn't as an older couple find it intrusive, there were areas you could find peace if needed. But what made this holiday so special were the people who looked after you ,everyone was more than willing to help you enjoy your stay...special mentions to George in customer relations, we just loved your enthusiasm for your job, Linda at breakfast and evening meals, Christianos and the others who would always pick us up if seen walking up the hill (we did occasionally walk down) and Alex at the beach restaurant. Thank you all for giving us such a fantastic week.

Room Tip: Rooms up the hill have better views and catch the breeze

From the moment we arrived the Staff where fantasic. Are Room was perfect, the Food was excellant, a drifferent theme every night, with a pianist in the cornor made it really refind...

Quite areas ( Great idea) all over the Resort, for thoses without children made it perfect for Familys or empty nesters like us.

Turn right or left from the bottom of the resort and you come across two lovely fishing villages.. (Take a look at The Little Green Shop)
