“Well worth a visit”
Reviewed 23 October 2013 via mobile

We are still in Elounda until Thursday ,and have eaten at this restaurant twice,we found it to be really friendly and professionally run, Maria and her staff, were really attentive towards their guests , couldn't do enough for us. The food was outstanding on both occasions , portion sizes like you wouldn't believe ,( try the white bait it's a must, I thought there was a shoal on my plate). The prices are very compatible with restaurants in the area.Well worth a visit and if we return to Elounda ,this will be our first stop to eat.

“Very good”
Reviewed 5 October 2013

Visited twice during our stay, first time food and service excellent, second time food good but staff seemed a bit stressed as the restaurant was full with not enough staff to cope. Well worth a visit as the price is excellent for the food they serve. Best stiffado of the holiday.

“Mousaka delight”
Reviewed 2 October 2013

We have been visiting this lovely restaurant for some years now and have never been disappointed.

Spiros and Maria are the perfect hosts and work exceptionally hard to make this place what it is.

There is a wide variety of Greek and other cuisines and everything we have had has been very good indeed.

However we were delighted to experience their mousaka, which although it might sound boring was exceptional. One of joys of this restaurant is that you get fresh vegatables which makes a lovely change.'Excellent choice.'

The restaurant is located exactly opposite the public beach opposite the windmill, and hence it's name.

We can report that the toilets are clean and look forward to seeing this lovely couple next year.

Strongly recommended.

“Wow proper Greek and a locals place”
Reviewed 29 September 2013 via mobile

We ate here on our first night as it seemed very busy and the smells just wafted over when walking by. This is definitely a popular place as the locals ate here and a number we're turned away dye to every table bring full, despite this though we were never rushed. We had soup to start, the minestrone soup was amazing and fresh, for mains I had the stifado this was amazing and came with gorgeous baked Greek potatoes and roasted veggies. Overly excellent we will most likely go back. Oh the price 2 soups, a salad, stifado, couple of beers and a quart if wine under 40 euros, great value for food of this quality
