My niece and my great nephew stayed at Elounda Breeze in August this year. They loved it so much and told me all about it. I decided I would love to have a vacation at this hotel myself, so with my niece and 14 year old great nephew we travelled this October 12th-19th to the Elounda Breeze Hotel. I worked in the travel industry for many years prior to retiring this year. I know that customers always have expectations on a package AI holiday, I am no different in that respect and can honestly say that all my expectations were met and exceeded. I was mesmerised by the stunning views and the location of this hotel. When we arrived after a long transfer we were greeted by such friendly staff at checkin, which by the way was so easy and fast. The reception staff remembered my niece from her August holiday which was so lovely. Within minutes after checkin we were taken with our luggage to our room by the lovely Mikhalos, who throughout our stay was always on hand to help and support if we needed anything. We booked a standard double room, it was spotlessly clean, spacious and modern, plus we had an amazing sea/mountain view from our balcony. We saw so many stunning sunrises. On our first evening as we were getting ready to go for dinner there was a knock on the door, Mikhalos from reception brought us up a bottle of sparkling wine, he said, it was a gift from the hotel to say thank you for returning and and welcome back. I was completely impressed by this thoughtful kind gesture. Food and drink- the food in the main restaurant is well prepared, and there is so much choice and variety, hot and cold, savoury and sweet. Again I was impressed. The cleanliness of the whole hotel and eating areas was for me a massive 10 out of 10. There is something for everyone whatever their age. I never struggled to find something that I liked to eat, in fact it was the opposite and I ended up over eating at every meal time, wanting to try lots of the different dishes. I have stayed and worked in many hotels around the world, and by far this hotel has some of the best food I have had in an all inclusive 4* hotel. The restaurant is spacious, spotlessly clean and has the most friendliest of staff, who work so hard and make every meal time enjoyable. A lot of them remembered my niece from her stay in August and came over to our table to welcome her back. A massive shout out to Linda Joanna, Georgia and Vasso, and all the restaurant staff in the main restaurant throughout the hotel. We genuinely looked forward to meal times because of the friendly staff in the restaurant. The drinks on the all inclusive were also good, soft drinks, teas, coffee and a selection of cocktails, beer and wine. The location and views as I said are absolutely breathtaking! Yes the hotel is set on a hill, but I couldn’t see anyone struggling to get around.. but if you did there’s always a golf cart on hand to take you wherever you wanted to go around the hotel. We used it a few times to go to the restaurant. Pools - The pools and pool areas were spotlessly clean and very well maintained. We mostly stayed by the main pool as we couldn’t get enough of the amazing view from there.. we also spent a few afternoons at the quiet pool and a morning at the water slides. All three pools areas are just superb. The main pool was great for my great nephew as he really enjoyed joining in with the water polo every day, which was run by the TUI staff along with other activities, they did a a great job of running it and making it fun. The quiet pool was exactly that, quiet, calm and peaceful, perfect place to lay on a sun bed and read or just relax and enjoy being on holiday. The water slides were another part of the holiday that my great nephew really enjoyed. We never once had trouble getting a sun bed at any of the pools. Yes the hotel was fairly quiet as it was outside of school holidays but perfect timing for me.. The rooms - As I said, we booked a standard double room which was spotlessly clean and very modern with an amazing view. The beds were very comfortable and made up every day by the wonderful cleaner who was also a happy and friendly member of staff. The shower was so powerful, we loved it. The hotel WiFi worked great in the room unlike in some other hotels I have stayed in where you have to be in the main part of the hotel to get a decent reception. For a standard room I was blown away by how lovely it was. The staff - All the staff in this hotel are AMAZING and so friendly. They are kind, approachable and genuinely lovely people. They work so hard to make you feel welcome from the minute you arrive to the minute you leave. Every single member of staff we came across during our stay was so happy, friendly and polite. They deserve any and all compliments and tips. Elounda- we only went out of the hotel once during this visit as we were only there for a week and wanted to make the most of spending time at this stunning hotel. It was 9 euros each way in a taxi. Elounda is absolutely beautiful and well worth a visit. There is a beautiful little harbour, plenty of shops that sell holiday gifts, and there is a supermarket, along with plenty of places to eat. I would definitely recommend going into Elounda if you are staying at this hotel. I have never been back to a hotel for a second stay but I’m already planning another visit next May with my niece, even though I normally prefer to stay in different places around the world. Thank you to all at Elounda Breeze for the best holiday and just what I needed, plus we were so lucky with the weather too!!! ☺️…
