We boarded the Little Train [blue one] as opposed the the Happy Train [brown one] expecting a pleasant trundle up to a little village up the mountain. We did indeed get that but the surprise was a very informative lady guide giving a wonderful commentary. At various points along the way we had places of interest pointed out and explained. The lady's knowledge of local history was second to none particularly about spinalonga. Another bonus was a 20 min stop at Plaka time for a stroll around and the final stop at the mountain village of Vrouhas we were taken a little walk through the village a chance to see true greek life the little houses fascinating and the village raki still. There was a lovely little taverna which served delicious simple greek food so don't have any lunch beforehand. All in all a very pleasant 3 hour fantastic views and we learnt so much.
