That is what we have been told by our friends and our travel agent. When we arrived we realized why.Our suite was spacious with a small private pool. The layout was great and I loved the fact that the bed was facing the window, this way we could wake up with an amazing view of the Aegean sea.Service was very proffesional and food was delicious. We are looking forward to our next trip.

Take a turquoise blue bay, a luxuriously equipped whitewashed villa style suite with plunge pool, outstanding on-site amenities and spa and wall-to-wall sunshine and great food and you have the ingredients for a perfect holiday. The Elounda Peninsula has all these. But what sets the hotel apart from other luxury hotels and which really made our 6 day stay so special was the service. There is a genuine friendliness and desire to look after guests to ensure a wonderful holiday. We really were spoilt. What a heavenly place it is.

We spend a long weekend at the elounda peninusla and we loved avery moment of it.
It is the only hotel we have stayed in Greece with such a perfect location:build on the seafront! The private beach of the hotel is only 2 minutes from the suites and this is really what makes the difference.Service is very good and we were really happy to see that 90% of the staff were Greeks.
We will return for much longer next year.

What a stunning view to wake up to ever morning. The bedroom was great and the staff were extremely attentive .Breakfast was fantastic - huge choice of wonderful food. Ate outside on the balcony looking out at the amazing view. In the evenings we ate at the French restaurant and the lovely Italian Restaurant within the hotel - down beside the pool and beach area. The food was consistently very good. Overall this was an extremely impressive hotel with very helpful staff. A wonderful treat.

I recently stayed at the Peninsula all suite hotel with my husband and baby. What could have been a great vacation turned out not so good unfortunately.

I'd booked a beachfront suite via LL and had researched the place extensively before booking. I have to say that on 1st impression i was delighted and my husband and i were considering booking for next year. That is until the "incident" happened.

For the + points: the location is beautiful and the suite looked fine. The view is breathkaking and the sea was just perfect. The staff everywhere was attentive and nice. There is a good choice of restaurants, i highly recommend the Old Mill, The Yatch Club and Calypso though Nafsika is not worth the tab. Prices are reasonable for this type of place but there are lots of lovely places in the village as well (5 min away by car) at much lower prices (approx EUR 60 for 2). The place is child friendly and my little one had a great time.

The - points: on our 2nd day, we returned to our suite to a disagreable surprise, the pool had turned a nasty brown and worst yet, there was a horrible smell of sewage in the suite. I understand that "bad" things happen but I expect this type of place to have a contingency plan and fix things quickly. I won't go into the details of the numerous calls we placed to receptions but, it took the hotel 2 hours to offer to move us to a different suite (upgrade). The 1st alternative was unpracticable and the 2nd one wouldn't be available for another 2 hours. Well it took more than 3 hours and again the hotel didn't call to inform us beforehand. Needless to say at that point, i was quite upset and dissapointed, it was my birhtday and a few things I had planned for the day had to be canceled and we were 1/2 hr late for dinner. All in all it took over 5 hrs to fix a situation, that is unacceptable for a 5 star property.

A few of the activities were not available but I understand it's mid/low season.

The rest of the stay went well but i have to say this incident left a lingering bad taste.

Could i recommend this place to family and friends, yes but i'll tell them to keep their expectations in check, unlike me who had hoped for the best.

Room Tip: Suite 41 is one of the least private as it is next to the big pool and to the sister hotel Elounda D...

Dear Guest,
On behalf of the entire staff of the elounda peninsula all suite hotel I would like to thank you for taking the time to review our property.
I would also like to thank you for your very kind words regarding our accommodations, the location, the restaurants, the sea,our pricing policy and the staff of the hotel.
Regarding the insistence with your pool please note that upon arrival we have upgraded you with no extra charge to a 1-bedroom presidential suite with a private pool. It is true that on the second day there was a problem at the suite and we needed some time to see if this could be solved so we wouldn't need to move you. When we realised that this was not possible I personally communicated to you two options:
The first one was a collection suite with a private pool which was ready at that time and you could have been moved immediately and the second one was another 1-bedroom presidential suite with a private pool, which was a better option since you wouldn't loose your upgrade. As it was communicated to you at that time the presidential suite was occupied by another guest so we needed some time for him to depart and for us to prepare the suite for you.
At that time you chose the second option. It is true that there was a small delay in your change but as I explained, the guests that were staying in the suite had a delay in departing.
Hope this clears the air and we look forward in welcoming you back at the elounda peninsula in order for you to experience all the facilities that you also mention you enjoyed.
Best Regards

Was there this summer early June with my wife and two kids!
The stuff very polite and friendly ,ready to help you in every aspect you can imagine!
We spent a lot of time at the spa which is one of the best in the whole world
The rooms are suitable for a family with 2 or 3 kids.
Many activities for kids during the day, plus a new football stadium 5x5 from Arsenal FC.
