Our first stay of three weeks was at the Corali Studios and was everything we wanted. Spacious room, very clean, with small kitchenette. Staff very friendly and helpful, and always smiling. We were fortunate to have a room at the front with magnificent views, including Spinalonga Island. Very well situated, only a short walk to shops and numerous restaurants and tavernas. A sandy beach opposite if you did not want to use the hotel pool, and only 5 euros for two beds and brolly. Beach is cleaned every morning and evening. Sea very shallow and well sheltered so safe for children and adults alike. We tried to book again for this year but unfortunately we were TOO LATE as all the front rooms are fully booked!
Highly recommended.

Room Tip: Rooms at rear are much quieter as the road could be a problem for some.

We stayed in September as a family of 2 adults and a pre-schooler, and apart from a mix up with the booking on arrival, we had a pleasant stay. As other reviewers have noted, the location is ideal, and the family who own and run the apartments are very nice. The pool is large and deep, and perfect for older children, although we thought it a shame there was no shallow end or small kids section as most hotel pools have. The family apartment is spacious and has all amenities you need for a week or so, however the rooms are only serviced once every 4 days. Overall this property was a good midrange choice. We loved the proximity of Elounda to activities in the area, however we found Elounda itself in need of some TLC. Hard times for Greece i know, but hopefully the hotels & tourism body can lobby the local council to address the poor state of the beach and especially the playground which should be condemned.

Room Tip: For families with small children you should request a family apartment which has the netting on the balcony as not all rooms have this.

My wife and I went to Elounda for three weeks and stayed at Milos and Delphinia apts, I have been going to Elounda for over twenty two years and always stayed there,.....Until the owner showed an unexpected true side of himself that as a dedicated client of his showed his contempt for his clientele, We immediately left of our own accord in disgust and won't be returning.......Hence..... We went to Corali studios and was shown around and treated as welcome friends, we explained our dilemma and that we wanted a room for two nights until we flew home, Yannis the owner was so good he listened sorted a room with no further ado and we relaxed in a clean comfortable room with a shower that actually showered and a t.v. A vast difference from where we had stayed, I would say a big THANK YOU to all at Corali studios, saving angels on our honeymoon and we are booked already for next year. -------5 Star------

This was our second stay at the Portobello/Corali. Last time we stayed in the Portobello, this time we stayed in the Corali.
The Corali is all studio apartments, all with a partial or full sea view. The rooms are fairly basic, but a good size, comfortable & clean. Plenty of wardrobe space, but a little short of drawer space. The bed (2 singles pushed together) was comfortable. The kitchen area is fine, unless you intend to do lots of cooking (why would you?). You get a small hob, a kettle, a toaster & a fridge. The bathroom was good, with probably the best shower we have ever had in Greece. Air conditioning is included in the price.
The pool area & bar are good. Plenty of sunbeds, a reasonable size pool (1.5m deep throughout), and good food & drink. The breakfasts are good - yoghurt & honey or continental, and they do a mean bacon butty.
The owners, Yannis & Eleni are lovely, and all the staff are very friendly & helpful.
The location is perfect. Just across the road from the beach, and within walking distance of anywhere you want to go.
Elounda, as always, is lovely. It was a lot busier this time than the last couple of times we've been. Good to see busy restaurants & bars.
We will definitely be returning next year.

Room Tip: We had room 1 on the first floor, which has good sea views. The ground floor rooms have terraces rather than balconies, so have a little less privacy.
