Our guide Stelios was a sea kayak genius! He knows everything there is to know about the island's secret coves and exploration spots. We had a blast on our trip and can't wait to come back for a different day trip.

This is the best way to explore the coastline. Our guides were very experienced and gave us a full tutorial of how to use the equipment. There were even opportunities to do some snorkelling in an idyllic cove and some cave exploring along the way. Would recommend to anyone regardless of experience.

We rented two eBikes for eight days in April. The eBikes were good quality models, delivered to our hotel on time and batteries fully charged, which we appreciated. However, one of the two eBikes apparently had not been serviced since the last rental as the frame was caked in mud, and the SPD pedals were dirty/rusty to the point that they would not release, requiring us to search for a local bike shop for service. Instructions for operating the eBikes were non-existent, so unless you are already familiar with the Bosch eBike system, you may have difficulty operating these eBikes. This is not an inexpensive rental; the cost for eight days for two eBikes, including delivery, came to 1,000 euros.

Thank you for your review. I would like to answer to each of your comments as they don't reflect the reality.

The cost is stated on the web site; that is 50 euros per day per bike. Each bike cost 2500 euros new. The one is 2017 model while the 2nd one you rent was brand new (2018); never used before.
The cost of delivery & pickup is at least half price of what any taxi driver will get you to transfer the bikes so far from our premises (we had to drive 2 days of 6 hours total each day). Actually I'm not aware anyone else on the island that will be willing to drive so much to deliver the ebikes.

Regarding the "non existing instructions of the Bosch eBike system" you should know that those are listed in our web site (left from the price list): https://www.enjoy-crete.com/services/cycling/
There is a link there to download them.

The SPD pedals were absolutely fine. The problem you describe had to do with your shoes most likely. I was the only person who cycled that ebike until your rental and everything was working great. This ebike had a service two days before which they also replaced the chain with a new one. It has specific marks on the SPD pedals regarding how tight they lock and once I saw your review I went and double check them and they were on the same spot so the guy who you claim that serviced the SPD pedals did nothing. Feel free to pass me his/her details and I'll contact them direct to ask what they did as they done nothing. Also the SPD pedals all had an extra frame were you can cycle fine without the need to clip them.
On top of that my assistant who delivered the bikes asked you specific to take the bikes for a ride and to mention if there is any problem with them before he drives back in order to fix it. You've mentioned that everything is fine; which was.

Both bikes are mountain bikes so some kind of dust is normal. You are presenting the "mud" issue to the reviewers like is been the whole bike covered in mud! There wasn't any mud at all unless we have a different definition of mud; feel free to post a picture to prove the opposite. Even if I wanted to find some mud to throw on the bike it will be difficult, as there was nearly a month (including the dates you were renting the bikes) without any rain at all in the island.

Last but not least I didn't see in your review to include the fact that you had a fall with the bike.
The front wheel had a massive hit, two spokes were nearly broken and had to pay 50 euros to repair it. The 2nd brand new bike had also a very big deep scratch on the monitor.

Best regards

It's a very fun and enoyable couple of hours where you can apreciate the beauty of the landscape above the kayak, under water, or while you're having a nice meal on a taverna.

Stelios arranged for Suzanna to be our climbing guide for a day trip to agio farago - absolutely phenomenal days climbing. She was patient, knew the local history and climbing environment and really made the day one of the best climbing days out I've had. Highly recommended.
