We visited the museum whilst trying to use up time on our way to the airport. We're glad we did. It's one of the best museums we've visited in a long time. Superb permanent displays, the dinosaurs are huge and very impressive. Interpretation is well done and carefully considered. Plenty of information without being overwhelming.

There is lots for children to do - caves and tents to explore, an impressive earthquake simulator, electronic exhibits showing how light works. The discovery centre was clearly aimed at school visits and as such was mainly aimed at Greek speakers, but still held plenty of interest for my kids (aged 10 and 11).

There was a temporary exhibition showing a vast range of holograms and manned by a very keen lady who took great pains to explain the technology to my children.

In all, I would highly recommend the museum. We easily passed 2 hours exploring the exhibits and could have spent longer with more time on our hands!

Small collection of stuffed animals but when we went they had two temporary sections - 3D pictures and light as well as dinosaurs - which were both excellent. Quite small but well worth a visit with kids. Short walk from city centre.

Quite a disappointing visit to this place. Two levels were almost all holographic images and lasers. One of the levels have some live lizards but nothing too impressive here either. The robotics of the dinosaurs didn't impress either. Gift shop quite outdated. This might be for you if you want to take your little kids for a short visit to the museum.
Not really worth the price.

This museum is situated in a restored industrial building on the seafront. Firstly, the building itself is interesting. The museum is nothing remarkable but the enthusiastic dedication of the young staff is very appealing. The museum is directed very much towards kids (my 11 year old daughter liked it very much). One point of note: the earthquake simulator - you are in a seismic zone here and shouldn't forget it!

This was such a fun museum to visit!

There were live animals, dinosaur fossils, and an earthquake simulator!

We had so much fun and if you have kids, they will immensely enjoy it too!

The bar at the top could do better though. The pastries we had were overpriced, old and crusty and not tasty at all.
