We visited the museum whilst trying to use up time on our way to the airport. We're glad we did. It's one of the best museums we've visited in a long time. Superb permanent displays, the dinosaurs are huge and very impressive. Interpretation is well done and carefully considered. Plenty of information without being overwhelming.
There is lots for children to do - caves and tents to explore, an impressive earthquake simulator, electronic exhibits showing how light works. The discovery centre was clearly aimed at school visits and as such was mainly aimed at Greek speakers, but still held plenty of interest for my kids (aged 10 and 11).
There was a temporary exhibition showing a vast range of holograms and manned by a very keen lady who took great pains to explain the technology to my children.
In all, I would highly recommend the museum. We easily passed 2 hours exploring the exhibits and could have spent longer with more time on our hands!
