Another great stay at The Lamb Inn.
We try and get over this way twice a year, and the welcome is always fantastic. The room was spotless, the bed was extremely comfortable and the food was excellent
Looking forward to our next visit when we can bring our dog as well

The Lamb Inn is an exceptional hidden gem on our travels down to Cornwall.

The accomodation which is dog friendly was very cosy and perfect for our needs!

The beer garden is on a few levels and quirky with private seatibg areas. Our meals were fantastic, we ordered the Chicken Kebab and Goat Curry, partner thought the kebab was lovely with added pomegranate itmade the dish! I had the goat curry and thought it was one of the best I've ever tasted, thank you.

Will highly recommend The Lamb Inn. 5 Stars!

A lovely pub, really venue - perhaps slightly lacking in atmosphere but that could be due to time of year I visited.
Went for a Sunday roast there recently, and although the veg was good amount and cooked perfectly, roast potatoes were ok, amazing yorkie but there was a serious lack of meat. We were booked in for lunch for 1:30pm and 3 of us all had beef - but literally got 1 slice of meat each.. Very disappointing when paying £14.95 a plate.

5/5
Lovely traditional privately owned and operated inn ,by landlord Nick.
A knowledgeable friendly chap who clearly loves what he does.
A great location at the centre of a cute village and at the heart of the community, staffed by locals who all want you to have a great stay.
Loved everything especially the innovative vegetarian section on there creative menu,
We loved their attitude to our dog.
We kept her with us during our evening in the bar, she had a dog treat menu and was spoiled with attention, we are always nervous as to how our dog might be received often dog welcomes are through gritted teeth , but not here. It really helped our enjoyable relaxed evening.
Local beers ciders ,and spirits, and menu ingredients really helps you get a feel for this beautiful county ,just a few miles off the beaten track and is very worth the effort.
We noted that they can cater for events inside and out seating around 40 or so, a pretty spot for a celebration I’m sure.

Room tip: There is a village car park 3 mins walk from the door, you might want to drop off your bags, but I did hear the staff offering to help .

My wife and I have just returned from a three night stay at The Lamb Inn at Sandford. Nick and his team have excellently managed to maintain the ‘oldie worldly’ charm of this historic pub with all its endearing character and the essential elements of high quality accommodation one expects today. But the real distinguishing features are the warmth of welcome one receives from Nick, Vicky, Chris plus the excellent cuisine one enjoys
We can’t express our appreciation too much for a lovely break and are looking forward to returning in the not too distant future.

Room tip: The room we had was overlooking the Square and wasn’t too hot for sleeping in this extreme weather, but the fan provided was helpful.
