After the drive to Ierapetra and a couple of hours walking around the town, we decided to grab a snack-type lunch here as I knew it had a good reputation. We weren't disappointed at all, as soon as we walked in, a friendly waiter showed us to a table by the rear window overlooking the beach. I was driving so we ordered two soft drinks and as we also had plans for dining that evening, we decided to have a quick lunch.
We ordered kalimari and a Greek salad, both to share and they arrived within 5 minutes. The kalimari was fresh, as you would expect in a fishing town, and perfectly flash fried in a delicious tempura batter. There was more than enough for two people and the dish included the tentacles as well as the rings. The Greek salad was huge and drizzled with olive oil and dusted with herbs.
We ate the lot and with the bill being just €13, thought we had enjoyed a good meal at a bargain price.
