Had a coffee here after a visit to the fortezza. This seems to be one of the few vegetarian restaurants in the town. It was also advertising yogo classes. The restaurant was spotlessly clean and the service friendly and efficient.

Passing by after a great visit to the fortezza veneziana I suddenly felt the need to sit and eat there because it seemed to me a wonderfully cosy place with its well-choosen furniture and warm lights.
I was on my own but the very friendly owner of the place and the other people working there made me feel "at home".
Although the food is all "bio" the prices are fine. Very nice is that there are often live-concerts in the evenings.
Being only a 2-minutes-walk away I'd recommend to link a coffee or dinner at the Soul kitchen with a visit to the Fortezza.
Go there if you dont search for the classical tourist place but something different and very authentic!!!

Really interesting and fresh macrobiotic vegan food. There's a set menu - soup, a selection of individual main course dishes and then a desert. Or you can just have a couple of courses. You definitley feel like you've had a health injection after the tasty meal.

You can also just call into this relaxed place for drink on the really nice outdoor terrace area.

The location of the restaurant is perfect and really atmospheric, by the old castle walls.

A really unique place, that's recommended.

I stayed on Crete for a Ashtanga retreat..We where so lucky to have a whole week to enjoy the wonderful breakfast and amazing cooking at the Soul Kitchen. A absolutely suprising variety of vegetables, herbs, spices, quinoa dishes, salads and deserts, absolutely loved it!! The service was friendly and good. What a nice atmosphere, some kindof magic in the air in this place for sure!..Going back as soon as possible!

In our hotel we were told about this restaurant. With all the meat and fish restaurants in Greece this is something really different! We enjoyed our meal. The setting is perfect and we were lucky to be part of the latin evening with a lot of people dancing.
