Having Stayed at this hotel twice I Would highly recommend it. Been many many times to Rethymno and stayed at several hotels I Can honestly Say this is the Best. Location is great situated In the old town. The seaview is beautiful. Staff is super friendly and service good. Clean and modern rooms.

We stayed at the Ideon for 2 weeks this August and this was our first trip to Crete. The hotel was very nice and all the staff particularly friendly and helpful and perfectly situated near the port and quiet and relaxing considering it is ideally placed for walking around the town. The facilities and rooms were good with aircon, fridge etc., but the bathrooms rather small and could do with refurbishing. The pool isn't particularly interesting, but ok for a quick swim. Lovely bar areas at the front of the hotel with great service at all times. The town itself is absolutely lovely, for visiting, shopping, eating out and the people so friendly and helpful. Will certainly be going back!

Pool small and kiddy pool even smaller leading to kids playing in the main pool leaving no room for anything other than a quick cool off 'dunk'. Good choice of breakfast and cocktails (happy hour early evening). Rooms good size with fridge, air con, TV, balcony. Destination wise it's more a city break than traditional sun holiday resort - sea was too rough for swimming (vs Ag Nik where I ususally go). The restaurant immediately opposite the hotel entrance does a fab fish platter meal.

Just arrived home after a week at the Ideon. We stayed in the block of rooms adjacent to hotel. The room was lovely and we had a large terrace outside room to ourselves which overlooked the sea with very little noise. The bed was hard but comfortable. The shower was a bit small. The staff at the hotel were all very pleasant and helpful. Enjoyed the variety of cocktails and our nightly lattes before turning in for the night. Location of hotel was ideal with a short walk to old town and plenty of shops and tavernas to suit everyone. We had a hire car but we were able to park along the road beside the fort for free as the hotel did not have it's own car park.

Nice city hotel, perfect location nearby old city, uncomfortable strom, narrow bath. Breakfast buffet was fair enough, while the pool bar and an elegant street cafe were serving all day long. Normal priced, parking availability in Port's parking a few meters far from hotel's entrance. Weak points the strom and bath very limited for big sized people. Nice staff
