Good hotel, nice and quiet pool area. Sun chears in pool area constant full, but hotel is close to the beach area. Road between hotel and beach not to bad to cross. God service from hotel bar at beach area. Ok walking distance to Rethymnon centre 20 minutes

The hotel was renewed in 2008 so we could enjoy a completely new, very clean room and other facilities. We liked very much the hotel bar. The bartender was very funny and he prepared delicious coctails and a local snack - carrot with lime and salt :)
Nice 30 min walk to the city center with lots of shops and cosy restaurants.
The beach is on the other side of the street and it is a sandy/stony one.

We stayed from sept 4 - 11 (room 436) and enjoyed every minute of it. Very friendly and helpful staff who make you feel at home. Spotlessly clean everywhere and nice comfy rooms. Hotel has been recently redecorated and brought to modern standards. Peaceful location with beach across the street and a 25minutes walk to town. Rooms sea view = street side and beach, pool view = enjoy the silence. Don't expect big buffets, but the different choices of starters, main dishes and deserts are of excellent quality. Prices of drinks are fair, but wines except for a few table wines are too expensive. Pool bar very pleasant and some good lunch dishes. A little gem you want to go back to.

I can not say enough about the acting manager Nikos and receptionist Hirsi! From the start they welcomed us and were able to assist us with arranging fun activities, finding local shops, and discovering the right places to dine. I would highly recommend this hotel (because of Nikos and Hirsi) as they will make you feel as if you were staying with family while on your trip. Nikos and Hirsi made our stay!!

The hotel itself has some pluses and minuses depending on your tastes of course. A big plus for us was the large, clean, fun pool to swim in while the beach water was too rough for swimming. Not many hotels can rival Atlantis Beach’s pool.

The hotel location was nice for us as we enjoyed walking to the Old Town each night – especially the walk back after eating till we were full. It is only a 20 minutes walk to the Old Town and it was always a pleasurable walk along the beach. The location was also nice as they are right across from the beach (no hotel is right on the beach). We spent time on the beach each day as they had chairs (for a fee) and umbrellas.

The hotel staff was typically nice, Nikos and Hirsi were, again AMAZINGLY NICE AND HELPFUL. The rest of the staff was simply there doing there job and are not memorable.

The hotel room was clean, but (here is one major negative) the mattresses are similar to what I remember slipping on as a child in sleep-away-camp; it is similar to a baby’s crib mattress – thin, hard, flat. Though we were told that the hotel was completely renovated, they did not change the mattresses. I really dreaded sleeping on the mattress each night and could only hope that they make the change to new mattresses for the 2010 season.

Another negative was that there were several fees for what are typically included features of a quality hotel. There was fee for beach chairs (3 Euro a day), and a fee for towels (3 Euros total), and a fee for a safe/lock box (1.5 Euro a day). With the well-above-average-hotel-fee all these other fees seemed to be a bit in excess. Both the fees and mattresses are easy fixes and I hope they are corrected as this would easily become my top hotel to visit.

Again, if you want the family-feel of a hotel, you would want to meet Nikos and Hirsi at this hotel. The hotel was overall nice with great service and location.

Just returned from a 10 day stay at this small but delightful hotel.Staff extremely friendly and helpful, even showing us personally to our room. We arrived at 10 pm but were surprised to have a cold platter waiting for us. If you want to be with loud, beer swilling brits forget it,(go to Malia!) if you want to be with our continental counterparts who know how to have a good time yet behave appropriately this is the one for you.Stone's throw to the beach, and a 20 min walk into the centre.Food typical greek fayre but delicious.Booked flights with Easyjet, accomodation with www.zeus.gr and transfer through Resort Hoppa. Def recommend this hotel.

I and my 3 friends was here 21-28/7 and we just loved it! The staff was more than helpful and took good care of us! The hotel was just by the beach. And a bit away was the lovely town center. Just a perfect for 4 persons! I will go back as soon as possible!!
