We loved this tavern because the facility was so beautiful. The view of the ocean, the little court with zinnias in the middle. It was clean and decorated in local style. We spent a long time there, just enjoying the surroundings.

We rented Marianna & Nikos ' beautiful villa and during our 3 weeks of vacation in Creta, we went a several time in the Taverna Androulidakis, excellent and very typical Cretian food, the best of the Island for democratic prices, the welcome is fantastic. If we plan to go back to Creta, we will definitely go back to this place.

we visited the "Taverna Androulidakis" many times during our vacation in Greece
The owners are amazing and always welcoming, they will do their out-most best to provide any type of request you have
the food is homemade, with ingredients from the owners garden, and you can also get the “child type” of food if needed

we will surely visit the “"Taverna Androulidakis" again when visiting Greece

Gonia is a small village close to the city of Rethymno. We were passing by on a hot Sunday afternoon 1 week ago. We accidentaly saw the small taverna and we immediatelly ordered 3 beers. The three of us we ordered choriatiki salad, takos salad, sausages, vegi fried balls, green salad and fried eggplant dish. And we paid 32 euros! The three of us! Amazing quality, the extravirgin olive oil was from another planet! We wanted to dive into it! The owners were friendly, they chated with us without annoying us. Before the delivered the bill to us, they offered - for free of course Raki and desert. A lunch break to remember.... Highly recommended!
