We stayed in Embrostiada for 7 nights, 19-26 August 2013.
We stayed in one of the double floor houses. It was simply excellent. Very spacious, comfortable, cozy, felt like being in your own house.
The 1st floor has a fully equipped kitchen, living room, toilet and balcony with view on the garden.
The 2nd floor has the bedroom with an amazing bed, the bathroom and balcony with view on the sea and the mountains.
Everything in the house was fantastic! Every little detail revealed the passion of the owners, with which they built and decorated the house. Tradition, style and simplicity blending in an excellent balance.
The every day cleaning of the house was one of a kind!
We loved the tranquility of the place & the piece of mind and soul the whole setting offered us.
We loved the descrete presence of the owners, always with a warm smile on their face, asking if we we needed something.
We loved the fact that we had to walk only 1 minute to find the centre of Chora, where all the restaurants & bars are located.
We loved everything about Embrostiada. This is the absolute place to stay in Amorgos.
I could write so much more. I leave the rest to you, to get there and experience an unforgettable staying in Embrostiada.

Everything is just perfect at Emprostiada, so stop searching and go book a room!
You will find a beatiful designed room and an intimate atmosphere, like being in a private home.

Chora is the most beautiful village I have seen in the Cyclades, and Emprostiada is right in the center of it... a few steps from one of the most amazing little squares of the island... a dream!

PS: The "suite" called Doma is fantastic and worth the extra money!

Beautifully decorated apartments in a gorgeous traditional house in the heart of the lovely Chora. Don't think about staying anywhere else in Amorgos this was just divine. Very clean and well maintained with great atmosphere and views from little balconies. Chora itself is gorgeous with great food and little shops. Thanks Euaggelia and family you were wonderful hosts. The same family runs Pension Amorgos in Katapola that was also terrific.

Thanks again
Penny and Alez

While walking through Chora two years ago, we discovered the Emprostiada and thought this would be a great place to stay the next time we're on Amorgos. Indeed we were not disappointed.

We stayed here two nights in a maisonette, which was spotlessly clean and nicely decorated with traditional Greek furniture giving it a warm, homely feel. On the ground floor we had a kitchenette and living area with a terrace. The bedroom and bathroom were upstairs along with a balcony affording a nice view. Our bed was nice, big, and very comfortable. We slept well both nights and also had a nice siesta one afternoon.

Eyaggelia was very friendly and helpful. When she picked us up in Katapola, we mentioned that this was our second time on Amorgos and that we were thinking of hiking to Aegiali, where we would be staying afterwards. She told us how to get to the trail and spontaneously offered to send our baggage to our hotel in Aegiali. We enjoyed the hike (16 km, about 5 hours to do it) with all the breath-taking scenery.

We look forward to staying here again on our next trip to Amorgos.

We stayed here for three nights in June and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were given a warm welcome by Eyaggelia and shown to our room, which was spacious, spotlessly clean and well appointed. There was a good shower in the en suite and a very comfortable bed. A small balcony overlooked the garden which was very peaceful and relaxing. We enjoyed being in the centre of things in the Chora and exploring the narrow traffic free alleyways and the lovely little tavernas. Eyaggelia doesn't provide a breakfast but its no problem as its a pleasant stroll to a handful of options. We highly recommend this lovely guesthouse during a stay on Amorgos.

Room Tip: We think any room will be good. The room we had was Votsalo.

The small island of Amorgos is incredible, called by some the "crown jewel" of the Cyclades. If you visit, we recommend staying in the charming town of Chora, where no cars (or even scooters) are allowed in the center; it's a delightful experience in and of itself that probably matches your vision of what being in a small, traditional Greek village should be. And we recommend staying at the Emprostiada Traditional Guest House, which beautifully matches the experience of being in this special place. Very highly recommended.

What a marvellous place. My husband and I just felt in love with this hotel. Our room was decorated with very good taste. It was clean and the bed very comfortable. It is located in the small town of Chora, 10 minutes drive from the port. It is a 12 euro cab ride from Katapola. If you rent a car or a scooter, you will find parking close to the hotel without any problem. The owners are also more then welcome to pick you up from and to the port if necessary. We enjoy are stay very much and promise ourselves to come back next year.
