Dolphin St. Georgio Villas & Suites
Reviewed 13 August 2011

The hotel is really a cluster of rooms in a compound on the unpaved road along the shore in the remote village of St Georgio - which itself is really more of a scattering of new vacation homes, than a conventional Greek village. The rooms are very well equipped with everything you'd need for a short or long term stay. Magda the manager is friendly and helpful and has excellent English. There's free WiFi but the signal isn't very strong so you'll need to check your email from the lounge unless your room is very close. If you decide to eat at the hotel, the dining areas are comfortable and the food is excellent. The breakfast in particular was much more generous and delicious than we'd expected. The pool is clean and warm, no shortage of loungers, and umbrellas for shade. There are a couple of very small secluded sandy beaches a 5-minute walk away, and the water is crystal clear, the beach free from litter. The hotel provides beach towels, umbrellas and lightweight beach chairs free of charge.

There are only a couple of drawbacks we noticed - St Georgio IS remote, and unless you rent a car or scooter on arrival in Antiparos, you are trapped out there, and although there are a couple of waterfront tavernas and a bar about a 15-minute walk away, there's no shops of any kind, and you're dependent on getting a ride from Magda's husband whenever he's going into town. If you're not planning to get a car, be sure to stock up on groceries before going to the hotel so you can fix your own meals if that's what you want to do. The spotless and modern rooms are well equipped with a mini kitchen, plates, cutlery and more.

The other issue is noise, and for such a quiet remote place the hotel can be surprisingly noisy during the day. Voices really travel around the compound, the phone rings constantly, and when we were there there was construction going on. However the new rooms look really nice and comfortable so you may want to ask about them if you're considering staying here.

This is a very romantic spot. Greece in all it's way!
Perfectly held clean appartement with the best seaview while laying in bed!!!!
The details in the room , like selfmade paitings of the wood are very much appreciated. In which you can learn out the owners love their place very much.
The poolgarden is marvelous green with different plants around the pool. The pool is more for lawying in than swimming. It is not too deep. Breakfast is very nice especially with the view. Only minus I could think of is the road going to the Hotel which is very bad and hardly drivenable. You need a car to be safe.

Room Tip: Best room is nr. 8- room is perfect with the large terrass of all. Much privacy!!

And that's exactly what you will do going here. I have just spent 7 nights at the Dolphin & I shall never forget it. I toured the island looking for somewhere to stay & I actually I found it by mistake, as I saw a sign for a café & was hungry.
I stumbled on a hidden gem. It's a superb hotel run by an island family. We were lucky to arrive just as they had a cancellation. We got room number 5 or rather 2 rooms, with 2 balconies looking over the neighbouring island and out into blue/turquoise nothingness. The rooms had a small kitchen and a KETTLE, so tee could be made ( a must for most Brits). The rooms were very well thought out and extremely clean, which is not easy in Greece! The maid was in cleaning and tidying twice a day and the linen was kept fresh.
Breakfast is included & there 3 different places to take breakfast, enjoy the view and sink into oblivion for the rest of the day. There's 2 private beaches just under the hotel with heavy sand and pebbles or a couple of minutes walk takes you to a sand beach. All 3 were not overly used with shallow long sloping access to the water. The water is as clear as anywhere I have seen.
The hotel doesn't do any regular evening meals but Michael cooked a BBQ one night which was more than enough for anyone, to wit we retired early to bed that night & collapsed into a deep sleep. Luckily, a 10 minute walk takes you to a collection of tavernas and cafés, I say luckily as Captain Pipinos was voted one of the best places to eat in Greece. From there we watched the sun set and then basked in the moonlight which helped us find our way back to the hotel.
Sleep wasn't a problem at the Dolphin either, as its away from the hustle and bustle of the port, in fact at the other end of the island!!!!. Sleep wasn't a problem any time of day, in number 5 or by the swimming pool, which is just what the doctor ordered. I was at peace for the first time in months........
Hotel Dolphin has been very cleverly designed and it is a TOP hotel. Probably the best on Antiparos, as I did have a good look around before finding it.. If you want to escape, enjoy a little bit of paradise and get a 5 star hotel for 3 star prices, don't miss out the Hotel Dolphin. Add it to your bucket list. You might meet me there, as I shall definitely be going back.

Room Tip: Take room number 5, 2 rooms, loads of space & 2 balconies

My husband and I had a hard time choosing a hotel in Antiparos. We had never been to Greee and were there on our honeymoon. The Dolphin was a perfect location where we had basically our own private beach a very short walk away. Three sea side restaurants within walking distance. Drinks at the hotel bar were reasonable and Magda and her family are very helpful. They aided us in renting a car and booking our ferry tickets to the next island. We only wished we allotted more time in Antiparos. It is not touristy and there are plenty of things to do. The only downfall was the tap water was salt water but that is on every island that time of year. Beautiful place to relax and take in the amazing view. A great island and the perfect place to stay if you choose Antiparos!

Dolphin Hotel and the owners are a great combinations. The service and friendship are outstanding and so is the island of Antiparos. Dolphin Hotel is very clean, perfect service and lovely breakfast and atmosphere. A very pittoresk pool and a "sunset terras " at the café make this place unforgetable
