“If you have children go somewhere else”
Reviewed 20 February 2012

Horrible attitude, expecially with children. They just can't stand at children and don't do anything to hide it.
Their site advertised the possibility to offer you rides to other beaches but it hardly happened twice on 20 days.
Much much nicer solutions (larger spaces, rooms with nicer atmosphere and details, great people as owners, gorgeous pool) can be' found not far from the village. If you want or need advice please write to me or read my other evaluations about island.

TO TRIP ADVISOR TEAM: YOUR WEBSITE HAS 2 LILY ISLAND REVIEWS IN THE ANTIPAROS SPECIALIST ACCOM SECTION. THERE IS ONLY ONE. YOU NEED TO MERGE THE 2 SETS OF REVIEWS.

Visited July 2011. Lilys is a quiet spot off the main street, a few minutes walk from the harbour. Nice, v well cared for garden and grounds, with a small pool. All very clean and very tidy. Engaging and pleasant owners. The place had a relaxed family ambience, with some guests obviously visiting year after year, which is always a good sign.

The room was a decent size, bright and airy with reasonable basic furnishings, a shower room, small kitchenette and a nice outside seating area. Our bed was firm but reasonable by Greek standards. Unusual (in Greece), but very useful fly screens across the windows, so you could stay cool without the aircon; available if wanted. Always had plenty of hot water.

The shower room was very clean, but small and rather old fashioned, and in need of some renovation and upgrading. Perfectly adequate, but a bit basic.

Overall, a very decent family orientated pension / small hotel. At EUR 60 / night, very good value for Greece these days. Also, unlike much of Greece happy to take plastic.

Anti Paros generally:

Anti Paros town is a v pleasant place to stay, with a good selection of main street or harbourside cafes, bars and restaurants. A decent nightlife in the season, with most of the clubs by the main square. You may get "cabin fever" after a while, since its a very small close knit place, with limited choices and densely populated in the holiday season.

Our favourite taverna (Aypa i think ?) was on the far side of the harbour by The Dimitra Hotel, away from the ferry - good quality simple grilled octopus, local sausage and whitebait at good prices, to be enjoyed at the waters edge. Away from the much busier main harbour / main st area.

La Louche on main st was good, a very different modern take on Greek food; cEUR 50 for 2 ex wine. The only downside was a hopeless American tourist waitress.

Some OK small or narrow and busy shingle / sand beaches near the town. We thought the beaches on the Sifneiko side of town were rather dirty, with rubbish dumped nearby. Definitely worth hiring a vehicle and heading south to very attractive Glifa or Soros beaches; the latter esp nice with a v expensive nearby taverna. Wouldn't rush back to the Ag Georgios area, which has been very unappealingly over developed in a very dispersed suburban style with no real centre or character.

Now on my third visit to this little haven in Antiparos, so that is recommendation itself. The welcome from Derek and Lily is second to none, and I have never been able to fault the accommodation. Location approx 100 metres from the main village street, lovely pool, clean and tidy (actually spotlessly cleaned every day), WiFi in the reception area, quiet. Highly recommended.

Stayed in Antiparos for 6 days and loved every one of them. Lily and Derek were very friendly, helpful and extremely knowledgeable of what to do and where to eat. The rooms are excellent, beds firm (but not too hard). Unlike most of Greece, the rooms, pool, gardens are *extremely* well maintained. Everything is very quiet and it was very easy to sleep with minimal impact from other guests. The location is one block off the main street and a very short walk to the harbour. Free wifi and internet is available. The pool and pool area are excellent. The boat tour around the island is worth it (and we are not 'tour' people!) Lastly, the value for money 'Lily Island' is the best we have encountered for our complete European trip. Thank you Lily and Derek!

We arrived on AntiParos and was greeted off the ferry by Lily and her step son. They drove us back to the villas which were in fact only a 10 min walk from the port.
We were delighted by the room, large bright and airy with good furnishings, shower room, kitchenette and an outside seating area.
Lily invited us to meet her and her husband Derek by the pool for a welcome drink.
The pool area was wonderful with a bar where you could purchase drinks, coffee and breakfast.
Within easy walking distanceto the beaches and a stones throw from the town centre this is the perfect place to stay when visiting Aantiparos.
