We were advised of this tavern by the scooter hire place - what great advice. Although a little difficult to find (no name or phone number!!), we arrived just after opening at 1pm to go straight to a table. We had the best calamari ever, and some bread and dips - all good. The atmosphere is relaxed and was just what we thought it should be - overlooking a beautiful bay, sitting under the branches of an olive tree, eating interesting local foods. There appeared to be a number of locals there too…. As it is in a quiet location, there are no tourist buses - only those with their own transport. This tavern is worth the effort.

Real traditional taverna feel about Kikis, we were lucky we did not have to queue to long, food was lovely if quite expensive. Main coursed from 17 euros but huge portion of meat, we had butterfly chicken breast stuffed with feta cheese and sundried tomatoes which came with a jacket potato. Would happily have returned if Kikis were opened later into the evening but due to no electricity it closes around 7pm

Kikis was delightful in every way. First off, the view from every seat on the veranda is perfect -- blue blue water, blue blue sky, gently sloping hillside. And the food is terrific. I had a four-salad lunch plate -- artichoke, Greek, lentil and fava bean -- and Retsina wine, and they were perfect. A friend had the squid, cooked on the outdoor grill, and it was delicious too. We would all go back in a heartbeat. To top things off, the price was reasonable and the service excellent. Kikis is a little bit hard to find, but well worth the effort.

if you can take your chances on getting a table (and in high season don't bank on it) this is such a little gem..

This lunchtime taverna is located in a hidden gem spot of Mikonos off the beaten track-you will need your own transport. Beatifull beach - a bit windy - but it worth going even if it is just for the restaurant. Here you will find imaginative salad dishes, simply prepared main courses, and excellent deserts! If you are on Mykonos having a party week (like most) take a day out, hire a car, find some of the secluded beaches like this one and have a nice traditional Greek meal in this lovely taverna, it makes for a lovely change of pace.
