Description: Kalua has been a must-visit summer destination in Mykonos for more than 10 years. Located right on the stunning Paraga Beach, one of the smallest and loveliest beaches in the island, it is the ultimate setting for a relaxing cocktail, a delightful meal or an unforgettable party. Our motto is simple yet strong: “Every day is a beach party”!

Great setting on the beach with beautiful 20-30 year olds on the beach, the majority being girls.

The "kebabs" are a must but the salmon was not that special.

The music gets loud around 5pm when the beach party starts.

yes, you do pay 8 euros for a sunbed. and yes, you do get sunbeds for free at some of the other establishments on this beach (if you buy a drink). so why pay? because of the entertainment factor. kalua is where footballers and supermodels meet, where the filthy rich get tendered to from their super-yachts and where the density of hot milfs is higher than anywhere else on mykonos (getting into the milf age myself now, i have decided to work out before i go back to kalua). their beach parties are great (fun music provided by a dj with the slightly cheesy name "agent greg"), their food is excellent, and the bare-breasted and tattooed beach boys working here are impeccably friendly. and for those who don't want to pay for a sunbed: arrive around 4pm and fall into one of the bean bags just outside the chiringuito - no fee, and you get a prime view of the party - it usually starts at 5pm.

Thry the spaghetti with shrimps at the restaurant and top it with a nice cocktail afterwards

We did not eat at Kalua however we did have the unfortunate luck of coming into contact with this establishment.

We were staying near Platos Gialos beach (not the nicest beach) and fancied having a look at Paraga. Paraga is a lovely beach, or at least it would be if it hadn't been bastardized by thousands of sunbeds leaving only a small area for people who either didn't want to sit on sunbeds (god forbid) or didn't want to pay an extortionate amount for that privilege.

Which brings me onto Kalua. We walking through the entrance to the beach (where there are multiple signs about cost of sunbeds (Eur 6 for a sunbed with a pillow - I think). We went to the middle of the beach and were seated by some shirtless wonder boy and were promptly told it was Eur 8 for the sunbeds. We promptly left.

Thanks Kalua for ensuring we experienced other beaches to Paraga. In fairness they didn't chase us to charge us for the 60 seconds we spent on the sunbeds, this was slightly surprising given their money grabbing attitude.

Also we walked past there at 8.30pm one night and it was completely dead with no people in it. My heart bleeds for them.

Had a great experience with very friendly staff and the best frappes we have had in Greece.
I was surprised to pay for the sun loungers even when we ordered drinks but for the view and the half day spent there it was worth it.
Very clean and everything seemed to be new.
Got busier as the day went on so I'd recommend arriving at around 10am.
Would go again!
