Small hotel located very close to the beach with nice sea view from the balconies and terrace, and also very close to the city. Nice and very friendly owners and staff!
We were there for the second time and will come again!

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a nice view!

We went to Akrogiali Hotel following the recommendations of a good friend, and we have already booked our second stay there (can't wait to be back) and it will certainly not be the last one. The owner, Manolis, is extremely nice and friendly and so are the other people working there, always time for a little chat. You are given the feeling that you are a most welcome visitor and not just a paying guest. The room was on the basic side, but nice and comfortable and spotlessly clean, nothing flashy, but with a homey feel to it. There is a fridge which we found a great bonus and what a nice suprise to find a bottle of water and a bowl of grapes there upon arrival.
The location is perfect. Everything in Naxos town is in walking distance, the beach is literally around the corner. Wonderful spacious balcony with nice table and chairs and plants, great for relaxing, sipping morning coffee or some beer or wine enjoying the sunset and the birds that come to visit. Most relaxing. And all this at a very very favorable rate.

We spent time on several islands in Greece and one reason as to why Naxos became our favourite island (besides the beauty, the serenity, relaxedness and great food) was Akrogiali Hotel and the wonderful people working there.

The hotel is very basic but great; the rooms are simple but clean and quite big. Also, each room has a big balcony and right by our balcony were these beautiful trees with pink flowers that made it feel like you were sitting in a garden. Also, the location is great; it's about 20-30 metres to St Georges beach and it takes about 5 mins to walk to the main part of town.

The older man and younger woman working there are two very sweet, helpful people who always greeted us with a smile and even treated us a big plate of grapes one night as they thought that we "would enjoy it".

We strongly recommend this hotel to anyone who doesn't require any "fuzz" and extra facilities (for instance, they don't have breakfast or room service), but just a simple, clean, pleasant room with incredibly nice staff. We even prolonged our stay thanks to this.

What a great place! The Akrogiali Hotel was a lucky find and our time there was the highlight of our visit to the Cyclades!

We arrived in Naxos, late in the day after a full day traveling from Rafina, while looking for places to stay near Agios Giorgios. We stumbled upon Akrogiali and found a true gem of a place to stay. We initially planed to stay for for only 2 nights, but enjoyed the stay so much that we extended it to 4 nights and later wished we had never left.

This family owned place treats guests as valued house guests. Everything is immaculate, easy going, comfortable and relaxed. The first floor room was very spacious, clean, had a good bathroom, beds and a sizable balcony with room to chill out around a table with a bottle of wine and also space to hang clothes to dry. You can also see the ocean from the balcony. It's not an expansive view, but certainly pleasant enough, especially with the flowering plants around too. The streets around the hotel are very quiet and you are an easy stone's throw from the beach, which has chilled out restaurants and an inviting family atmosphere. The location is ideal in this way and, also, its an easy stroll of less than five minutes to the main dockside drag of restaurants, bars and action in downtown Naxos. At Akrogiali we felt we were in the ideal setting to relax as much as we wanted while also having easy access to all the offerings of Naxos' Hora.

The hotel is not too expensive by any measure, and especially in terms of what you get - it's an excellent value proposition. Of the places we stayed in Greece, this was our hands down favorite, and certainly the cheapest. We would love to come back and highly recommend the Akrogiali for a relaxing vacation!!
