“AMAZING - The place to stay”
Reviewed 16 December 2013

my husband and I chose this hotel to stay in for 2 weeks while on our honeymoon - we could not have asked for a better place to stay! Upon arrival we were greeted with big smiles. We were taken care of like we were family - especially by Anna in the kitchen! Every morning she brought us coffee (even though she isn't required to serve you), she always gave us a bowl of treats to take up to the room and when we missed out on fresh fruit, as soon as the groceries came in she cleaned up and brought fresh fruit to us!

The beach just out front was so picturesque like in a movie. The restaurant attached to the hotel was great - the best greek salad & friend cheese on the island! And the staff was incredible.

If you're going to Naxos this is the place to stay, I can't wait to go back!

Room Tip: We had the room right on top of the reception - other than roof top, it has the best view in the hot...

A very nice place, on the beach, cozy, stylish. For a perfect, quiet vacation. There is no place for parking, we came by car so we had to park at a small distance, but the whole Agia Anna had narrow streets, so it was no problem. The beach is near a small boat and yacht port, but the water is clean. After a day or two we started going to different locations to visit other beaches so again it was no worry. The best part of it all are the sunsets, which may be observed straight from the beach. Marvelous. A magic island. It was so difficult to leave it; we spent a whole month on vacation there and didn't want to leave. A very, very nice place on earth, so thank you god!

The hotel we booked in Naxos for a week was in an overbooked situation for the first night, so we were "walked" to Iria Beach Art Hotel in Agia Anna. We consider it serendipity.

At first, we were a little disappointed as the walkways looked a little tired and in need of paint and freshening. However, when we got to our room, we were pleasantly surprised. The room was very comfortable, had a nice small patio, queen bed on a small platform (with tube lighting along the edge for safety), a nice bathroom, but the big surprise was the absolutely huge and wonderful shower, which appeared to be brand new and had many different water jets and interesting tile.

We slept very comfortably here. All the local tavernas were quite convenient to the Hotel, which was a one-minute walk to the welcoming waters of Agia Anna Beach. The little village of Agia Anna was really charming with many small hotels and pensions, smiling people and a wide assortment of tavernas, restaurants, cafes and shops. We loved it.

The breakfast room was very nice, too, with friendly staff and a surprisingly good assortment of breakfast selections. The coffee was robust and delicious and the local woman staffing the breakfast room (who made all the cakes from scratch), although she could not understand English all that well, was sweet and charming.

In addition, we had accidentally taken the key from our suite at our former hotel in Mykonos. The friendly, smiling, helpful Poppy at the front desk told us she would happily mail this back to the hotel for us, which we really appreciated (a few days later, the hotel manager emailed to advise that he had received the key). This was someone really going beyond the call for a guest, which was greatly appreciated.

For those wanting a clean, conveniently located beachfront hotel, Iria is a perfect choice. With a great staff, comfortable and clean rooms, a nice breakfast and good value, we'd definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a terrace that faces the beach. On upper floors, you may even have a water view.

I spent 2 nights at the Iria Beach Hotel last month, my first time in Naxos, arriving after a stay in Santorini and could not have been more delighted with this lovely hotel. My room was large and beautifully appointed with lots of lighting and plenty of outlets to charge my electronics (a rarity in most hotels!). My room faced the beach, yet was set back from the main road so it wasn't noisy. In addition, the bathroom was spacious and of the caliber found at 5 star hotels!

To top it off, Iria's staff could not have been nicer, treating each guest as extended family, offering guidance on where to go/ what to do AND preparing wonderful home made breakfasts each morning.

The area itself is naturally beautiful and the little cafes that line the strip are just lovely. Watching the sun set while sipping a cocktail here is one of life's perfect moments!

My wife and I recently stayed at the Iria Beach Hotel. Because it has recently been refurbished the rooms are very modern and everything works perfectly. Service was great. The two ladies behind reception were extremely helpful and even halfway through our stay upgraded us to a better room at no additional cost. The breakfast lady provided us with the all important delicious breakfast and it was clear that she cared immensely about the quality of the experience and the quality of her home baked cakes. We went at the end of season so there were no crowds on the beach. The beach itself is fairly sheltered and all in all we loved the location.

I returned to Naxos for a longer stay this year in large part BECAUSE of the great experience I had last year at Iria Beach. The amazing and welcoming "family" - Maria, Poppy and Anna - and the outstanding service, beautiful and relaxing atmosphere and Anna's delicious breakfasts make me feel truly at home there. Everything is arranged from even before the moment you arrive. I visited toward the end of the season and was given an upgrade to a suite which was wonderful.

Everything is taken care of. The hardest decision you have to make is whether to go right to Agios Prokopjos beach or left toward the Plaka beach or to take the bus into Chora and wonder the Kastro.

There is no doubt I will be back again next year. And the year after that....and the year after...
