“Faros is an unbelievably great experience”
Reviewed 15 May 2011

I would like to say a big Thank You to Nick, Dimitri and everyone else at Faros for making our trip to Naxos memorable. We only stayed for 1 night, but we were immediately treated like family. The resort was amazing - and what was even more amazing was the value for money. My two friends and I were upgraded to a terrific suite (we were a bit ahead of the tourist season) with private balcony. The pool area is gorgeous - infinity pool with ocean views and the taverna served delicious and traditional greek food (the lamb in lemon sauce was superb). The location is about a 20 minute drive from the port and we felt like we had our own private beach.

Room Tip: Go outside of the traditional tourist months

We stayed for 3 nights at Faros Naxos with our family of five in April 2011. It is a lovely hotel with great views and amazing service. Unfortunately we didn't get great weather on Naxos when we were there but the family at the hotel tried their best to make sure we had a good time and we absolutely did. The hotel is in great condition and offered very comfortable accomodation. The pool was lovely with beach chairs and a bar, it was close to the beach, in a quiet and un-touristy area of the island, and walking distance to a little market and other interesting places. The restaurant had excellent food, mmm. We didn't eat anything that we didn't love. The staff were all very friendly and were eager to help us enjoy our stay any way we could. The owner of the hotel even took us for a short tour one day to a nearby town and was more than happy to show us some of the highlights of the area.

I would definitely recommend this hotel to others, especially to get away from the hustle and bustle of Athens and for a quiet restful Greek visit.

we were 1 week at faros and we had a wonderful time! we loved the beach which is just 3 min from the room. The complex it's self has the most amazing swimming pool with pool bar area, a restaurant with first class authentic Greek food and excellent service. the family is very nice and helpful They were always available and willing to help with whatever we needed. The rooms are spacious with a kitchen area fridge ,sink etc, we had a balcony facing the sea looking towards Paros and great sunsets.

I would highly recommend Faros Naxos, we loved our stay - so nice and relaxing...

...thank you wery much for everything, we'll come back as soon possible!

what can i say about my stay at Faros complex?
everything was perfect and i will go back as soon as possible.
the pool was very large with crystal waters and as Niko (barman and owner) told me is one of the biggest pools on the island.

the wonderful beach is just 3 minutes walking.

it is a traditional family business with rooms , pool bar and restaurant.
the family provides everything you need and they are helpful.

overall its a very value for money stay..

see you next year.

We were in Faros Naxos a few days in the apartment for 4 persons which was very spacious and has a nice terrace. There is also a large swimming pool where you may relax and have a drink.
The beautiful Alyko beach is just 1 km. away, while Mikri Vigla 4 km. distance. Naxos town is 20 km. distance and is nice but chaotic.
At Faros Naxos time goes by slowly and the atmosphere is very peaceful. The family is very helpful and also the restaurant is recommendable.
It's an ideal place to spend some time with your family, far away from the crowds.

We spent our three week Honeymoon at Faros, and would definitely recommend this hotel! If you're looking for friendly authentic greek atmosphere, this must be it!
The hotel had a great pool area which served as a really nice bar at night. The resturant was small and cosy with pretty decent food.
There was also a small store nearby (a little far, but still walking distance) where we bought wine and everything else we needed.
The room was small (especially for such a long stay), but it held a good standard and had a very nice seaview.
The only drawback was that the hotel was a 20min drive from the great city Hora and the best beach Agios Prokopios! Aliko beach was across the road from the hotel, but we didn't think it was that nice, so we drove nearly everyday to the good beaches (Ag. Prokopios, Ag. Anna and Plaka). Yet it was good to sleep in a quiet area. Also, we needed the car anyway since it was a lot to see and the island was quite big.
All in all, Faros is a good value hotel with a great atmosphere.

We loved our one week stay at Faros. We left our 2 year old behind and were lazy! The pool was beautiful and relaxing... there's a poolside bar staffed all day and into the night. The beach across the street (a 3 minute walk from your room, across, and down a path) was lovely and secluded. The staff --- a family --- was terrific. They were always available and willing to help with whatever we needed. Faros is set away from the busy parts of the island... Other than the beach and the hotel's restaurant, you can't walk to a store or another restaurant --- so you'll definitely need a car for this hotel. We had their smallest room - and though it was very small... it was very clean and well maintained --- we just used it for sleeping --- otherwise we were down at the pool or checking out the island. Also, about the rooms... they are set away up a small path far away from the restaurant and the pool... so no noise from there... and somehow with the other rooms so close together -- we never heard anybody else.
We'd definitely go back the next time we want a nice, quiet, & lazy holiday.
