Our stay at Faros in Naxos was the highlight of our trip to the Greek Islands. The staff is amazing, the apartment we had was heaven, and the cuisine at the Taverna was to die for. I would more than recommend this hotel when travelling to Naxos. I am already planning to return. Go, you will not be disappointed and will want to return again and again.

I vacationed at Faros with my mom in early June. It is a beautiful, quiet, family owned and operated mini "resort" on the southwest corner of the island, about 20 minutes by car from Naxos town. If you're looking for an island that has a little bit of everything, but is less touristy, and more geared toward slow, lazy sun-filled days, pick this one! And if you are comfortable with being a bit further from the main town (the island does have pretty good bus service if you don't rent a vehicle), then stay at Faros! It was the perfect spot for what we were looking for - a place to get away from everything, a place to relax, spoil yourself with delicious food and drinks, lounge by the pool, visit the stunning beaches, meet locals, explore the island...the list goes on. From the moment we arrived on the island and were picked up with the shuttle service (Papa Moustakis), and then arrived at Faros and were greeted with a warm smile and shown to our apartment by Nikolaos (one of the sons), we felt at home. We quickly learned that anything we needed, Nikolaos would happily take care of. He will arrange for your car/scooter/quad rental to be delivered to the property, and even give you lesson how to drive it :) He was extremely helpful in showing us a nice route to drive around the island, and highlighted which villages to stop and explore further. The taverna, run by Dimitris (another son), and serving delicious, simple, fresh cuisine prepared by none other than Mama Moustakis, sits tucked in from the road with a gorgeous sea view. The few staff that they employ (the gardener, chambermaid, and cocktail waitress) feel like part of the family as well, and will also strive to make your stay special. The room was clean, but had everything we needed, despite the shower being a little tight. The property is also immaculately kept, and the infinity pool is just like the pictures on their website. I have travelled to a few Greek Islands, and I know I will continue to explore more in the future, but I will undoubtedly be making another stop on this island, and I will most definitely stay at Faros again. The Moustakis family, and especially Nikoloas, do an excellent job of making you feel like you are really a part of what they have created. Thank you for being the highlight of my vacation :)

This small family-run hotel is truly a gem - a highlight of our trip to Greece.

Everything about it was perfect. We were courteously and timely met at the port by Ilias, the father of the family that owns the hotel. Nikos, his son who runs it, met us on arrival and we got a simple but impeccably clean room, facing their neat property and the sea beyond. The view from the balcony was so relaxing and amazing. Rooms and bathrooms are kept up very well, the entire grounds has free WiFi (great for checking with the family back home) and the grounds are a sight to behold.

The pool and the bar in the middle of the property are beautiful too, with the music playing just at the right volume, lounge chairs and great summer drinks.

One of the highlights is the taverna, popular both with guests and others outside the hotel, who frequent the eatery - it's often packed in the evenings. Dimitris, the other son, who very helpfully served at the tables and "mama" Irini made it unforgettable. The food was very homey, fresh and tasty every time we ate there. Greek salad (some ingredients from the garden on-site), dakos and eggplant salad, as well as rooster in wine sauce were delicious and something to remember for a long time.

We wanted to stay in a place away from the crowds and Faros' location could not be better - it's pretty much at the end of the paved road leading from Naxos Town south along the coast. This meant the beach right in front of the hotel and a few a short drive away were virtually devoid of people and simply beautiful. The beach was perfectly sandy and the water crystal clear - the best we saw in a long time.

Overall, a fantastic stay. The family makes your days there so warm, hospitable and perfect in every way, you yearn to come back tomorrow...

I would highly reccommend stay at Faros when visiting Naxos. We were collected from the port and the transfer to Faros is 15 mins aprox. It is in a lovely quiet area and the accomodation is superb. The bed is really comfortable and the cleaniness is top class with the towels changed every day. Nikolas is always around to help with any info you might be after. The pool area is lovely and relaxing and at night its even better, the music is superb, and the cocktails are top class. The food here is the best food we had over our Island Hopping trip. Mamma makes the best fried potatoes and the tzatziki is to die for. We shared the fish one day also and it was so tasty we wanted more. I never had room for dessert which I always wanted to try. Do not even look anywhere else, this is a superb place to stay and the family look after you so well, we would highly reccommend Faros Well done to the family for their hospitality.

We enjoyed a lot our 5 days holiday there. It's a peaceful, friendly, relaxing, clean, green and beautiful place to stay!
The beach is not crowded at all and beside the hotel. The food is very good, the pool very clean and big.

We were welcomed from the first minute and made to feel at home. We were upgraded to a 2 bedroom apartment and the food cooked by Mama was second to none.
We hired a car so we could explore the island and Naxos.

We stayed at Faros Naxos as the very last stop on a trip to Crete, Santorini, Paros and Naxos and we have to say that we should have come earlier and should have stayed longer!

This is a truly family-run business: the father picked us up in Naxos-Town, one son runs the hotel and another the restaurant. The mother runs the kitchen and makes the best Eggplant salad we have ever had.

The pool is beautifully arranged, great lounge music at night and the perfect cocktails to watch a smooth sunset over the Agean Sea.

Should we return to Naxos soon, Faros is our place to stay!
