Santorini Island in Greece was a right choice for autumn holiday. Six days sunny and warm weather. The island is very good place for wandering in mountains with excellent sea and caldera views. The best attraction was to be a day on sea by a small boat. It took us to volcano island, swimming in hot sea water, dinner in a small village in another small island and finally we saw one of the most beautiful sunsets ever on the sea in the boat near famous town Oia. we were not alone, also big cruise ships and many small boats were there. we got plenty of good photos, too... The day was worth money (30 euros)!

I have been many times to this island and in fact worked there one Summer, the sunset at oeia is spectacular and is visited from tourists from around the World, every Evening, santorini fits Homer's description of the lost City of Atlantis, where he describes a circle of Islands, thus the Cyclades, where Santorini is situated, the Beach resort of Kamari is very popular.dont let the Black Volcanic Sand put you off,it has many seafront bars and restaurant's,there are many interesting excursion including the boat trip and visit to the dormant Volcano, and the ancient ruins of Akrotiri, and the tiny streets of the Capitol Fira, with its shops ,and gorgeous view out to the Caldera, worth a visit.

A full afternoon including a tour of the volcano - ensure good sun protection. The a swim in the hot springs. A cruise done the caldera to anther island for a swim and dinner with wine. Then over to Oi and outside the caldera. We then put up sails and sailed into a magnificent sunset and back into the caldera. A crew member then started playing the sax which was very romantic.
A good day and money well spent

This is a fantastic way to see the island of Santorini and many of the attractions it has to offer. I strongly recommend this tour to anyone travelling solo or even as a nice group activity. A bus can pick you up from your hotel and take you to the port to catch the boat out to Oia and the volcano.

Oia is the most beautiful... 2 hours is enough to visit the caldera... best rent a private boat from the small fishing port for 200 dollars for 2 hours so you don't have to put up with tourists, restaurants on the port are great and cheap... worst restaurant is 1800.. the expensive hotels are very snobby so stay at Maryloujohn or similar unless you are Bill gates...
