Overral our stay at Doriza Bay was good but we encountered some problems.

- First, the room we were given was small and overlooked a construction site. In fact, all double rooms have either a view on a noisy construction site (during summer 07) or on a wall from another building. We paid for the upgrade (60EUR/night) to a 3-persons 2-rooms location with a beautiful view. Overall, the price (140EUR/night) was too high for what is was.

- We asked to leave the hotel two days earlier than planned without paying two last nights. Owner agreed but when we wanted to pay at the end of our stay, he increased price of the nights to "compensate"... Not really a way of dealing with customers.

- However, the service was very good. The owner speaks perfect english, really tries to help you with anything.

Overall the place is overrated. They play too much on their link with "Port Scoutari" but both places have nothing in common. I would not go there again if I had to return to Patmos

The Doriza Bay is a small clean and well-located (provided you have a car) hotel. The breakfast (conveniently served until 11.30) was certainly above average. Complimentary coffee/tea was also served in the afternoon. The owner (Mr. Scoutaris) was very kind and always willing to satisfy our needs.
On the other hand, the rooms (and most of the balconies) are very small and untastefully decorated.
In general, this is a pleasant clean family-run hotel for which no more than the average price (70 Euros for a sea-view double room/night) worths to be paid.
