We enjoyed spending 2 evenings in Napoleon's during our trip Oct 16th to 23rd Oct 2013.
I have to admit that I find restaurants in tourist areas pretty similar to each other, much of a muchness really. Yet we really liked Napoleons. Greek families were eating here, and that has to be a good sign. The restaurant was busy on both occasions, and that could not be said of other places.

The food is really nice. On our second visit we had an excellent fillet steak and a superb spag bol (served very hot), a bottle of decent wine and mineral water and a first rate desert (walnut cake with ice cream). It came to 56.70 euro, about average for a Rhodes Town meal for 2 with wine.

On our first visit we had spag bol, lamb chops, a couple of premium beers and desert. It came to 32 euro.

Our waiter, Dimitreus, was excellent. The atmosphere was nice, the food good, and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. All in all, better than the average.

The restaurant was near to our hotel and a very kind person invite us for the dinner when we were search for the restaurant. The menu was varied, we chose vegetable soup, seafood platter and house wine. Soup came in a big bowl and it was very tasty, seafood platter was, a whole gilthead seabream, octopus, calamari, mussels, swordfish fillet and two jumbo shrimps with sides. As i mentioned the portion was very big and delicious. We paid for 2 (with water and a liter housewine ) about 55 euros. Service was good, tables and the ambience was perfect.

We always go to Napoleon when we are in Rhodes. We were in Rhodes early September and the food was lovely as was the service. Tasty food and the restaurant is spotlessly clean. The Mousaka was great! Look forward to our next visit.

We ate at the restaurant twice at the end of the holiday and wish we'd found it earlier. Traditional greek food is excellent and pizzas gorgeous.

This restaurant (tel. no. 22410 26815; www.restaurantnapoleon.com), at 1 Mandilara Street in the New Town - about 100 metres down from the Best Western Plaza Hotel - serves Greek cuisine (no surprises there) and has done so since 1973. It sits on a street corner, at the beginning of what, essentially, is a car-less pedestrian mall with shops and restaurants on either side of the road. It has multilingual staff, and menus in many languages, including Russian. Their menu range is extensive, including salads, fish, pasta dishes, meat (chicken, veal, lamb, steak) and pizzas, plus a good variety of desserts. Best of all, they are reasonably priced for this part of town (e.g. 7 Euros for chicken souvlaki, sufficient for a lunch for two) and that extends to their wine choicers as well. It offers both al fresco and internal dining, is surrounded by trees and floral baskets, and is air-conditioned inside, although eating outside captures the passing breezes. The staff are warm, welcoming and highly professional. Strongly recommended!
