I'm so glad I dived with Trident rather than the highly marketed Waterhoppers dive trip!
For one, Trident operates a MUCH smaller boat... which means that they are able to take smaller groups out. There must have been about 40-50 people on the Waterhoppers boat at the end of September... the end of peak season, so I can only imagine the volume if people being dropped into the limited dive sites.
They also did not let us brace the very rough sea on the day we were heading out - not a problem for me, but I am sure appreciated by anyone who suffers from sea sickness... some of the other boats went out, as how would they transport the mass of passengers otherwise.
Pricewise it was reasonable. Equipment was worn, but absolutely useable - although someone might think of investing in better fins, the ones they have are too short and far too flexible.
As a qualified diver, the actual diving is very poor... although the cave diving at Kalithea was pretty good. Water temp and visibility were Good, and the actual location of Kalithea is superb... got a couple of hours tanning done whilst we were there, so no need for a separate day trip.
All in all, this is the dive outfit you should choose, they care about their clients, rather than treat you like a sausage factory, which is so important for first time divers.
