“Excellent place to stay”
Reviewed 30 June 2014

We stayed here for two weeks in June 2014 as a party of 4 in 2 suites all of retirement age. We found everything about this hotel to be excellent, wide choice for breakfast, we also enjoyed lunch and dinner, the staff were always keen to be of service and very friendly, rooms were kept very clean and that also includes even the paths outside, plus pools and gardens well maintained. We really could not find fault with this Hotel.

A lovely hotel in a great location, clean and spacious rooms, good breakfast (but beware, it finishes 10am on the dot), beautiful gardens growing flowers, herbs and veg, very friendly and hard working staff (thank you Cristina for keeping us fed and watered while we were lazing on the beach). A short walk up a fairly steep hill will take you into Parga passing many restaurants on the way or a water taxi if you prefer for 2 euros. Not sure if this Hotel is 3 or 4 star but definatly deserves 4*. Wish we had stayed longer than 1 week :-(.

This is a very nice hotel and would understand people giving a 5 rating but not perfect for me.

Room - Very nice. We had a room just above the L shaped pool with sea view and the biggest balcony I have ever had. It must had been 25x20 ft! The big balcony however needs a lot cleaning and sadly this did not happen. The dead ants I killed on day 1 were still there when we left. I would clean the balcony myself with toilet roll. The room itself was very good and clean. The amount of people who have access to your room is ridiculous. Maids I accept however one day I found men in my room with a trowel doing plastering. I should have been notified. Also bar staff will let themselves in every day to check the mini bar.

Bar - This was the biggest let down for me. Smoking is almost law in this hotel. A non smoking area would be nice. I know some parts of Europe are not as advanced as the UK regards smoking but this place is smoke heaven. The smokers are free and love to blow their habit at you. Be nice to have an area where you could drink/eat without rude disgusting people lighting up over dinner. In reception they have no smoking signs but the manager has an ashtray on his desk! It's like the 1970's. Drinks in the bar are also well overpriced and the entertainment was poor. One night they had a 'Traditional' Greek singer. It was ok for an hour, Zorba etc but he went on....and on.....3 hours!!. Problem was they couldn't sing. His rendition of I can't live if living is without you however was one of the funniest things of the holiday. Think Cwying in Only fools and horses......"I can't Leeeeebb, if leeeebing is wibout youuuuu.

Pools - Very nice and cleaned daily. Still get idiots leaving towels overnight but no need, plenty of beds

Grounds - Best thing about the hotel, they are lovely

Beach - Very nice although would be good if they cleared sunbeds away in the evening. I also read a review that sunbeds are free to hotel guests. This is not the case.

The rooms are spread amongst the olive trees and the restaurant is right on the beach. Everything is beautiful here, from the bath robes to the bar staff. The children explored for hours on end whilst I read a book whilst lying in a hammock. The local tavernas, food and wine are excellent (better than the hotel, actually) and the taxi boat to Parga town was the perfect daily excursion. It's not cheap, but boy, is it worth it.

The outside of the hotel does not inspire you so much about the excellent hotel you meet inside. Very nice and big rooms, perfect view at the sea, inside high quality fascilities like cocomat pillows and korres products, really helpful and friendly staff, mediterranean breakfast

Stayed a week in one of the smaller units near reception. The accommodation is of a significantly higher standard than I have come to expect on various Greek Island stays, the rooms are well cleaned daily by a charming team of staff. If you value laying in the proximity of this room to the central store might be a concern as there is a fair amount if bustling about but would only affect these units.
The buffet breakfast was good and again better than what I have come to expect, staff were friendly and management was continually present to keep everything on track.
Aside from breakfast we only ate twice in restaurant. The BBQ evening was perfectly adequate if not ground breaking, the Haloumi salad was very light on the principal constituent which was disappointing.

These small points in no way undermined what was thoroughly pleasurable week, in a wonderful location supported by friendly caring staff. Worth mentioning too that the beach was kept clean and service was regularly on hand for drinks etc. Well done all at the Parga Resort.

Room Tip: As per the review if you are a light sleeper and want to sleep past 08:00 you way want to ask for a...
