If you have to stay in Chalkida, this is probably the best place but don't expect too much. The location is really lovely. From the balcony of a sea view room you can see the whole strait, the old bridge and the port. It's really quite pretty, even on a windy March day. It's right in the centre of town, although there's not much there except some pretty good restaurants along the front. The hotel itself is basic but clean. The rooms are OK in size but lacking in amenities. As always, it's the little things that count and they give the impression this isn't a hotel where things are very well thought out. You have to borrow a LAN cable from reception to access the internet and there's nowhere to hang the shower head above the bath, meaning you have to manually hold the shower above your head to get wet. Another example is that to enter the main lobby from the street you need to climb about a doze steps, which can be hard with heavy luggage. There was no-one around to help. But once inside, the staff here speak good English and are happy to help.
Overall an OK place to stay for the location more than the actual hotel.
