“Relaxing”

We have just got back from a weeks holiday there which we enjoyed. It was a very relaxing holiday, the apartments were very close to the town and beach. it was all british people who were there when we went. there was not much to do at the apartments only a small bar, but this was not a problem as it was not far from the town. The apartments were very basic, mattresses on beds were very hard but nice to sleep on very comfortable. Staff were very helpful and friendly. I would recommend these apartments, but not to anybody who has got children as there was nothing for children there. We enjoyed our holiday apart from the mosquito bites which were a problem.

Upon arrival we weere greeted by George, one of the brothers that owned the hotel. He was a friendly enough man, and worked very hard to please everyone working from 9am-12am every day of our stay. He showed everybody to their rooms and came back to check everything was ok about 10 minutes later. The room was basic, but clean, dated in some respects but not bad. The towels were clean and were changed every two days, and the maid came and made our bed, emptied bins etc everyday. It is a self catering apartment but the utensils provided to cook with were scarce but we managed as we are a recently graduated student couple and are used to these conditions. There were no bowls at all, so we ate cereal out of mugs all week but we didnt bother asking for any so if we had, im pretty sure we would have been given some.

Bathroom- clean, small and basic. The shower was the major downfall of the holiday! it is simply a tray on the floor with no curtain or glass to stop water going everywhere... and our shower head was broken so sprayed water in all directions so it was difficult to shower without making an indoor swimming pool.

When we arrived we had no light bulbs or lamp shades in our room, however these were replaced when we asked and two days into the holiday we discovered lamp shades had been put on over our bedside lamps! Also there was no casing over the light in the bathroom so at the end of the holiday the light broke due to water getting into the light from the broken shower.

The pool area was lovely however the drainage bits were broken in places but these were fixed the day after arrival and we saw them clean the pool a few times during the week so it was clean! it was about a 5 minute walk to the sea and main strip so was an excellent location.

Thr highlight of the apartment was a cat which i nicknamed scabs (its a very scabby looking cat) but it had four adorable kittens there which i loved and scabs was very affectionate.

The other residents we spoke to had no issues with there rooms and George told us he had stripped our room to make the other rooms ready and forgot to remake ours. we werent too bothered as he worked hard and all in all it was a lovely holiday. The weather.was beautiful.

All i will say about sidari resort ia that the beach isnt the nicest... its a very seaweedy beach and smells a bit sewagey in places. The main strip has plenty to do, lots of bars, shops and restaurants... i recommend the sea breeze restaurant... very reasonable.. lovely food and they have greek nights with plate smashing and fire dancing! :) There are however lota of annoying albanian and greek people that thrust a rose in your hand or glow stick and say its free then demand money off you. You also get harrassed to come into clubs and restaurants by promoters a lot. There are lots of travel companies along the main strip to do excursions i recommended the glass bottom.beach bbq as paradise beach is amazing!

All in all it was a good holiday, and the hotel was basic but good and very cheap! i would recommend it.

Can't really say I stayed here, more like turned up and then begged to be moved to another hotel. We arrived 7 hours late due to delays and were shocked to find they had no idea we were coming. They put us in a room that was so moldy, we had to wait outside on the balcony until they cleaned anothe room for us to move into. It wasn't a very comfortable room and the rep ended up moving us. To be fair to the owner, he was trying to help is feel at home as much as he could, but we couldn't stay

Positives...
Nice location within Sidari area
Pool area is lovely
Rooms are cleaned well
George is friendly and helpful
Free pool table
Negatives...
No TV in the rooms
No shower curtain or shower holder to stop the water from going everywhere
Other issues...
Sidari is not a true Greek resort, very tacky, you get pestered when you walk down the strip to go into the bars and restaurants, the nightlife is full of 2nd rate tribute acts. The beach is filthy. Go to Sidari water park, 5e a day, which is good value and the 3 main rides pass a couple of hours away

This was one of my favourite holidays so far. I went with my mum and dad for 2 weeks in the summer of 2012. The weather was wonderful, constantly sunny, but not to over-bearing.
The beach is 1 minutes away from the hotel. The hotel owners are so kind, and any question we had they would answer for us.
Its a 2 minute walk from the main strip, where there are tons of restaurants, shops and bars. I urge people to try the Mexican Restaurant where you get to where sombrebo hats :) which was a really fun experience.
I would reccommend going to Aqua land for the day which is the biggest water-park in Europe. It was an amazing day out.
I would also reccommend trying the Baywatch boat hire which is located on the beach right near to the resort. You are able to take small boat out on your own (which is very easy to drive), and it is very cheap to do so. The same company also offer a range of water sport activities.
The beach is a lovely place to spend the day, plus if you need any refreshments that is a little corner shop near by. You have to pay to use the sunbeds and umbrellas that are available but this is very cheap, and it is worthwhile, as it can get quite hot during the peak fo the day.
The only bad thing I would have to say about this holiday was the dripping air conditioner in my mum and dads room, which dripped through out the night, so eventually they came and staying in my room for the rest of our holiday.
Overall this was an amazing holiday, and I am so happy to be returning again this summer! :)

We had a pleasant stay at the Anemona apartments in July 2012 (Husband and son and i). We paid extra to use the aircon and we needed it! The apartments are very basic but clean! The beds are like concrete slabs and very uncomfortable! We did not use any of the crockery in these apartments the cup were mugs that didnt match stained inside and chipped! We bought a couple of mugs in the resort and left theirs in the cupboard with the ants that got into anything you didnt have wrapped up! So as you can guess we only had drinks and didnt bother making meals! We only had one meal at the Anemona wasnt impressed better breakfasts in Sidari! The pool at the Anemona was nice but everything white that went into it turned green! but the frogs liked to bathe in it at night! Be warned when you get of the coach you have a long walk up a concrete track to the apartments and we had to wait in the hot sun to be picked up! it was a bit uncomfortable when you are waiting to go home. Five minute walk round a dangerous bend into resort were all the tavernas are trying to coax you in made for good competition and kept the prices down but still had nice food! was cheap here but the resort sprung to life at 11pm we were told we could take our 14 year old into the night clubs if we wanted just laughed and went to bed let the twentys brigade to themselves anything goes after midnight!

Room Tip: Go somewere else only thing was its quiet here?

The apartments are located up a track about 150 metres off the main road. The location is good as it is a short walk in to the town for the bars and restaurants. The rooms were very clean and bar area was good, the pool area was always clean and we had no problems getting a sunbed during the day. Sidara is a lovely area to stay in, we hired a car and also ventured out around the island.
