“Fantastic Apartments A1*”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 June 2014

Stayed here 9th - 16th June 2014, last min booking for myself and husband ( Cosmos £267 for the 2 of us ) and we were not disappointed, the coach from the airport was quite long (2 hours or so), you are also dropped off at the end of the road as the coach is to large to take you up the path that leads to the accommodation ( only a minute walk ) and has fields on each side with horses in, and it is well lit for you at night, when we got to the apartments we were greeted by George who runs the place, he carried our cases to our top floor room ( only 3 floors ) we had room 35, with a view overlooking the pool and sea in the distance, the rooms are all the same apart from one or two bedrooms, they all overlook the pool and have a good size balcony with french double doors, and also a mosquito roller blind that pulls down the full width and length of the doors so you can have them open all day and night without the mozzies eating you, which was great for us, as although the weather was hot 29-32 we managed without air con and put the mozzie blind down, kept the doors open and enjoyed the night breeze, as the beds are next to the doors, the room is large with 3 beds, ( which are hard, if you have the room take your own pillows as i think this would help you sleep a little better as the pillows were also hard and flat ) 2 bedside cupboards a dressing table, wardrobe, table & chairs, cooker with 2 hobs, grill and oven, a full size fridge pots pans crockery cutlery and a kettle, the bathroom is a good size with a small shower, from talking to the other guests we were lucky with our shower as we had a curtain rail and a brand new shower curtain, some people had none, we also had read the reviews before we went and decided to take gaffer tape with us to tape the shower to the curtain pole so we had a shower that we could stand under it worked great, the rooms are spotless and the cleaning lady comes in everyday except Sunday.
The pool is clean and enough sunbeds to go around.
The food and drink served in the bar is very good and cheap, BBQ on Friday night 10 euros each.
2 min walk to the beach but if you walk a little further to the left towards the town there are better beaches and the sunbeds are free if you buy drinks from the bars they belong to.
The town comes to life at night and is only a couple of minuets walk, tribute bands in every bar, we saw some great ones, Abba Girls, Motown, Scar, all fantastic, Booze and food cheap.

Must say well done to George, he runs about all day long looking after the guests and apartments i hope the owner pays him well because he deserves every penny he gets Keep up the good work.

one last thing we got the holiday cheap, but some had paid over £700 for the week, i would want better beds for that kind of money, i would give the apartments a good 3 Star but better beds would make you 4 Star, if you can get this place cheap GO FOR IT, you won't regret it.

Room Tip: Room 35 was great, sea view, and evening breeze.

this hotel should have an exellent mark. swimming pool is so close. the pool is situated 200 metres near the hotel. you can take the bike for 10 euros for one week and driving for the whole island. beaches are the best.

enjoyable whether a couple or a family. very close to the main street. pool is not very busy and always has spare spaces. very clean with clean sheets every day apart from Sunday. another good thing is that you pay only 5 euros for the whole week to keep your money/passports in a safe

Room Tip: top floor, middle rooms. no-one is overlooking if you pop out to have a skinny cup of coffee in the...

Had a great time at the Anemona Apartments. Lovely setting, quiet but just a short walk to the bars and restaurants on offer in Sidari.

Good self catering rooms and very clean, cleaners there every day and beds made. Lovely pool and generally great atmosphere.

What makes this place special is George the most famous barman/waiter/everything on trip adviser. His warmth and hospitality made it for us and would reccommend Anemona to anyone.

Back in Westonzoyland Somerset and wishing I was back at the Anemona Apartments with my two teenage children. This was the first time I have gone abroad with my son and daughter since a family holiday in 2005, and I have never been to Corfu before. Having booked the holiday on the Wednesday to fly out the following Monday night I was surprised at how good the resort and apartments were. The location of Anemona just along a short footpath straight from the beach made them very private and quiet. Beautifully lit at night, a wonderful pool that was more than sufficient for the small number of rooms, it never felt squashed. The rooms are very clean, the bathrooms large, and we had a cleaner everyday during the week. The cool tiled floors meant we never needed the air conditioning. We had a ground floor studio apartment and never heard anything from the other rooms. Only three floors of apartments and beautifully desgined. George worked all hours in a modest understated sort of way and always approachable. The terrace of the ground floor apartment allowed us to hop over the wall straight to the pool side whilst first and second floor apartments have large balconies.

The local shop is 5 minuites away for all basic needs, and the beach offers pedal boats and canoes for families whilst more adventurous travellers have water skiing and paragliding fun right on the beach too. Lots of day trips can be booked from the main high street including Aqualand in Corfu itself only an hour away.

Skidari has a vast choice of tavernas with the beautiful beach fronting many of them. Lots of shops to keep you busy if you tire of the blues sky and warm temperatures. Traditonal Greek dancing, flame throwing and plate smashing on saturday nights togther with 70s and 80s tribute bands in more British sytle restaurants.

Overall, a resort and apartments with a high British occupancy. There is Sky TV in the communal room nexst to the bar with a free pool table. Cooker and fridge, and just enough plates, cutlery to match the number of guests in each room. Full English breakfast and pool snacks are available from the bar, and everyone seems to eat out in Sidari in the evening.

It really is that good.

L Reynolds

My summary of my review is that it is a 5 star review of a Greek 3 star apartment complex.

Myself and my family have just returned from 2 weeks of rest, relaxation, fun , friendship and memories. The apartments are clean, reasonably modern and well serviced. Now this is Greece so expect showers to be a little weak and when we arrived we needed a couple of bulbs replacing, a bin and a kettle in one of the rooms but this was rapidly fixed by George who is an absolute credit to the amiable owner Savos, George worked so hard to ensure we all had good holiday (often at the expense of his own sleep! - sorry George!!)
The location of the apartments is perfect. it is a 2 minute walk with the cases when you arrive, but the position means no passing traffic to cause noise or endanger the kids. It is in a quieter and dare I say classier side of Sidari with nice tavernas ( I recommend the Elysse and it's brilliant Albanian waiter Foti ) yet is close enough to the strip and bars for fun.
The addition of free Wi Fi and Sky are very welcome this year and the prices and quality of the food and drinks is low.

Having looked at many alternative accommodation options I would say it is the best in Sidari

Enjoyed it thoroughly!

Room Tip: Rooms above bar can't recieve Wi Fi signal, but are quiet.5 Euros per day air con

Back in England after a great 14 day stay at the Anemona Apartments. On arrival, had no idea what to expect, but bearing in mind the favourable reviews on Trip Advisor, we hoped for the best. No surprises, this was clean, spacious and comfortable, and regularly cleaned! The pool was great, the pool side meals were good too, and the drinks strong and cheap. We had expected hard mattresses (see other comments) but there was nothing wrong with ours. The shower worked well, except for one day, but the ever helpful and friendly George soon had it back in working order. There were four of us in a two bedroom apartment, my wife and myself and two 15 year old girls. None of us had any complaints. We loved the holiday. In Sidari we were taken particularly with Kelly's Ice House and the Mexican restaurant. Would we go back? Yes!!

Room Tip: All rooms seem good, the complex is small and only two stories, though people on the ground floor we...
