“Very good food, superb views”
Reviewed 2 July 2014

The 3km drive up the hillside from Sinies is very worthwhile, the taverna is situated in such a position to give great views across the sea to Corfu Town and Albania.
The food was of very good quality, authentic Greek dishes. As it is off the tourist trail it is better value than the tavernas in the towns and on the coast and I think the food is of a higher standard, recommend the cheese pie starter and chicken souvlaki (kebab). The beetroot and onion salad given to us at the start of the meal was also very good.
As with all the best restaurants it was good to see the locals (I don't mean Brits living in Corfu) eating there.

“Excellent taverna with the best views”
Reviewed 25 June 2014

We stayed between Kentroma and Porta, both mountain villages on the slopes of Mount Pantokrator. This tavern serves excellent food. It is quite basic, but this is exactly to our taste as it is authentic and genuine. We had a meal for three people that came to less than EUR 40. The briam (Greek version of ratatouille) was particularly good, as were the 'cheese pies' starter and the grilled chicken. Will return! The views have to be among the best on the island, and having stayed in a villa with the same views, I would recommend everyone to come up here, even just to experience the amazing views with a light meal.

“Worth going off the beaten track!”
Reviewed 10 October 2013

We tried this restaurant at the suggestion of many of the previous visitors to our villa.
Our welcome was instant, despite the prompt service we were never made to feel rushed, and enjoyed a lovely, long relaxing dinner.
The food was superb and the view even better. We returned several times during our stay, to receive the same high quality food and service as on our first night.
Even though they were obviously at the end of a long, tiring season, they welcomed us with warm smiles and genuine friendliness.
The price was excellent too. 4 adults eating starters and main courses with bread and olives, beer and wine approx 70-80 euros.
Definitely recommend to everyone!

“Definitely Worth the Trip”
Reviewed 5 July 2013

Despite being slightly schizophrenic, it can't decide whether it is the Grill Room or the Grill House it is definitely worth the trip.

Set high on the side of Mount Pantokrator above Kalami on the N E Coast of Corfu, to reach it you drive to Sinies on the main road towards Kassiopi and at the crossroads turn up the hill and keep going around several hairpin bends till you eventually reach the Grill Room.

It's worth the trip just for the views but the traditional Greek food puts the icing on the cake,( the sweets are good too).

We had Flogeres, Meatballs, Dolmades,Chicken Souvalaki and a Greek Salad all washed down with a vary palatable local wine.
Coffee and Sweets to finish all for less than 50 Euro

Excellent

I would thoroughly recommend this restaurant, its worth hiring a car just to get there.
