“Good hotel, perfect location ”
Reviewed 21 August 2014 via mobile

We have been staying in this hotel for the past 5 years.

The location is perfect, so when you are in Corfu Town you can easily return to the hotel in a few minutes.

This hotel might not be in everyone's taste, but we really like its character and absolutely love the people who work there.

The best room is room 408 with an amazing view.

The hotel has been recently renovated.

I have never tried the breakfast there, so I cannot write a review for this.

I recently stayed at a 5-star hotel in Corfu and I was very disappointed. I wish that I had continued my stay in Konstantinoupolis Hotel as it is always a safe option!

I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone who would like a hotel with good prices and great location.

My husband and I spent a week in Kerkyra Town and enjoyed our stay at Konstantinoupolis Hotel.
We appreciate the kindness and professionality of the staff , their giving us prompt reply to our questions and being of help anytime we needed.
We liked the hotel as well and were happily surprised we were given a room with balcony, even if it was not included in the offer we got. the room and bathroom were absolutely clean and they changed the linen every day.
The air conditioning worked well and we could sleep well just turning it on with the shutters closed.
The hotel is located in a strategic part of the town and we could easily find buses for our trips . stroll around in the evening for some shopping and get a taxi when nedded.
The hotel style must be appreciated in its way on being, thinking of the past history of kerkira.

Our thoughts about the Hotel Konstantinoupolis are mixed. While we came away feeling as if it was a good choice for us (we liked it far better than another hotel in Corfu that we stayed at a couple of summers ago and paid considerably more for), it might not suit all. Location: it's close to (walkable) to the port, with easy access to the old part of Corfu. Rooms: the hotel overall has an antique and "dusty" charm, having been built in the 1860's. But like all older hotels that haven't received a recent overhaul, some features might feel less than polished to some travelers: the smallish showers, for example. We found the beds to be very uncomfortable, but were told that all of their mattresses were going to be replaced in the coming weeks. If you get a water-facing room, the view is spectacular. Those rooms have small balconies which you can sit out on to enjoy the view. Rooms were clean and air-conditioned. Services: the women who manage the front desk are all friendly and very helpful. We ate breakfast in the lovely eating area one morning, but decided it wasn't worth the 4 euros per person that we paid for it. Improvements could definitely be made in this department, including the addition of fruit, vegetables and yogurt.

Room Tip: Rooms on an upper floor, facing the harbor would be best. We had 408 and 409.

We chose it because there was parking nearby and the location was good. The staff was nice and helpful. The hotel was for a good price and the building itself charming, so we were ready to forgive it a bit dusty and tired feel which could be seen in the furnishings of the room. Not particularly luxurious, but for a quick city trip for travelers that are on a budget but don't have to go for the cheapest option it's ideal. Just don't bother with the breakfast, it wasn't any good, not much to choose from and most of the options very sweet.

The hotel is located in the northern part of the old town, close to the harbour, shopping and dining. It's clean and comfortable with a very helpful staff. There are a few nice restaurants just outside the door and a taxi staion across the road. The nice landlady helped us negotiating on the taxi prices. We had a breakfast included in our price and it was to our satisfaction.
Access to free WiFi and it was OK.

Stayed one night only. Hotel is well located and plenty of good value restaurants/cafes outside. Rooms are a bit basic and functional but quite adequate. Staff are very helpful. Booked through the airport travel service so probably paid a bit more but still good value.

One night stay in room 103 was part of package so no comment on value, if I had to guess I would say €80 given location would be good. In business hotel I would expect to pay €130. So given that it is fair to say it is characterful and reflecting it's age, eclectic in decor and furnishing. Typically small rooms but clean and tidy and we did not see anything too tired in those areas, in fact reception/TV/breakfast area was quite classy. Hot water and European standards of air-con in room. Wooden windows on first floor cut out most noise except for motorbikes for us. Beds hard; good luck to the reviewer that said they would find hotel with softer beds, look in US chain hotel. Great location.
We had goodish harbour view, higher would be better. Free WiFi but make sure you log on to closest router for any speed, they seem not to know how to set it up to be transparent. Good tip was not to carry bags up till you know what floor.
Breakfast was typical continental with a little hot selection pancake and fried egg. Tea, coffee, usual awful juice; nice fresh croissants (see pic) no cereals. Pretty much the norm, you could skip breakfast option and eat at one of many Tavernas. Squeaks in a 4 on location and character.
