This is my second all inclusive holiday. I have 2 daughters aged 13 and 11. The hotel is situated just outside the beautiful Corfu town. It's down a long drive and is very isolated. Not easy to walk out to any other bars etc but cab into town is only €10. The hotel is kept to a good standard. I wouldn't say it was four stars on looks and decor. The room was adequate but a little cramp, as we opted for the sliding screen to provide the girls with privacy. The sea views from the balcony are amazing. The new pool area and bar are certainly 4 four stars. Plenty of room around the pool and some nice places to sit and relax. The pool itself is the best pool I've been in on holiday. Great shape that lends itself to have your own little section and one depth throughout most of the pool. The sea and beach are only a few metres away.
The food in the restaurant and snack bar is brilliant. Plenty of choice and great quality food, including some freshly grilled meats and various themed nights. The staff in the restaurant are very busy but always willing to help set an extra place or get you your drinks. The Japanese/Chinese restaurant - booked in advance but no extra cost - is well worth a visit. Sushi to start and then good quality Chinese buffet. Drinks and cocktails again good quality. Look out for Nikos behind the bar, excellent bartender and very friendly.
My girls were too old for the kids entertainment and without this distraction there wasn't a lot going on in the hotel for the older kids and the adults in the evening. If you have teenagers you need to consider if this hotel would suit your kids ages.
The Wifi in the hotel is shockingly bad. One tiny router on the front desk which you need to be within 15 feet of to get connection. For a hotel of this quality the wifi is desperately bad. Although some will say that it maybe a good thing not to be online during holiday, the kids want the connectivity and it's not right to spend a lot of time around the front desk trying to catch the web.
We hired a car from the in-house car hire company and had 3 days driving around this glorious unspoilt island. Visiting different beaches and towns around the north of the island. Went into Corfu town for several evenings. It's an amazing place. Feels very safe and there is plenty of great shops and in places has a Camden market feel. Would have liked to have spent more time discovering the island.
Overall can't fault the holiday, the hotel, food, staff and Corfu as a family holiday destination. Only regret is the suitability of the hotel to my girls ages.
