The hotel is very nice and clean, the food and everything else excellent. The only weakness of the hotel is small and a bit dirty beach/seawater. Moreover, there are stones in the water close to the beach, where especially young children like to play and are often beaten by some kind of dangerous seaflower. This was the case of our 2 years old son, which had a big inflammation on his leg (necessiting to call a doctor) and he will have cicatrices for life. We met 2 other people whose children suffered the same injury in the water (during our 1 week stay!). The hotel lifeguard told us it happened often. In my opinion, it would be fair from the hotel management to put at least a written notice on the beach advising people not to go close to these stones.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your review on TripAdvisor after your recent stay at our hotel. It nice to read that you had a very good experience overall during your stay at Louis Kerkyra Golf. We regret to hear that the beach did not meet your expectations and really sorry for the incident you described. We would like to inform you that all beaches in Greece are public and Greek law does not permit us to interfere with them artificially. However, we really appreciate your suggestion regarding the notice and ensure you that it will be taken into consideration.

Thank you again for your feedback. It will be a pleasure to welcome you in this or any other Louis Hotel in the future.

Best regards,
The Management

I began by writing a review on the 'Sentido Aelos Beach' (Don't go there its terrible) but
we paid £200 to Olympic Holidays to be moved after our first day and 'WOW' what a difference!
This Hotel is a 4 Star and proves it!
NOT THE SENTIDO WHICH SHOULD BE A 2 STAR JUST....BUT NOT EVEN NEAR!!!!
The Hotel is superb, the receptionist was friendly and very professional,,,
The Gardens are lovely and the Rooms... Clean, large and superb Sea Views!!
Thanks Kerkyra and Staff for saving our Holiday!!

only 15mins from airport but traffic in Corfu town can make it a bit longer. Didnt quite look like the pictures in the Thomas Cook Style brochure sea and the river that ran along side never looked as blue. Rooms good carpets which was unusual for a hotel abroad lovely big bathroom and balcony overlooking gardeens and sea. Beach not very good small about 2ft wide sea churned up sand on all days we walked down. all rooms in hotel clean and inviting. Food excellant could eat from 7 inthe morning till end of night. Could not understand the people sneaking fruit etc out of the dining room. Pure greed if you were going off for the day you got a packed lunch. 2 Ltr of water put in your room daily if you had opened the last one. man on reception remembered your room number I saw other guests and he remembered theirs also. Safes charged by the day 3.50 euros a day - a bit steep after the third day we handed ours in as we felt there would not be a problem and there wasnt. Walked into Corfu town took about 40mins to reach the port then another 15mins to the old town. Bus went every 15mins on week days only cost .90 euros. If I had been feeling a bit better onthe week we were there would have hired a car and found the real Corfu would have loved to have gone walking in the countryside.
I think the hotel would be a good base as it is good value for money. I would go back to Corfu in the future and if any one else knows of a good value hotel in a more central position on the island please let me know.

The hotel is very clean. It is generously staffed, and the staff are friendly and courteous. The food is excellent. There is a wide choice both for carnivores and vegetarians. The hotel is capacious. The drinks are served in very generous measures for all-in guests. The extensive garden adjacent to the beach and the large number of free sun-beds make sun-bathing and swimming a pleasure. Swimmers are pleased at the generous buoyed area reserved for them. The only possible drawback is the arterial road on the land-ward side of the property. While traffic cannot be heard, this limits the possibility of long walks from the hotel.

First time for my husband and I to go to Greece or a Greek island. We went last week of September and partly first part of October 2009. This hotel is very good, beautiful grounds and very modern hotel. Good service and rooms very large for a small island, comfortable beds. Excellent food except lunchtime when swarms of wasps descend on the diners at outdoor buffet being the down side although food still good at lunchtime if they got rid of these flying pests!! The views from the back overlooking the sea were beautiful and very relaxing. Not a lot of choice of entertainment in the evenings.
