“No need to take up space from turtles”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 August 2013

This beautiful beach is taking away space from the turtles... No need for that... the beach is long enough to set up lounge/beach chairs away from sands, that is, nesting place.

“Perfect Beach”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 31 July 2013

Fun for the whole family, Sandy beach, clear waters, safe swimming. You can rent a Sunbed or use your own Towel. Bring a picnic or eat in a restaurant before the entrance. Too be seen and enjoy. You may even see a turtle. Visit June 2012

“Theres better !!!”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 July 2013 via mobile

Cannot understand what all the fuss is about yes it's nice to see where turtles nest but it's just a small narrow beach with nowhere to get anything to eat or drink or toilets (you will have to go back up to the main road) As soon as you put a bag on a sunbed you are jumped on by a man asking for €10 euros making these the most expensive beds on the island (none of this money goes to the turtle cause just in someone's pocket) I feel there are far better beaches all around the island with places to eat or drink on the beach and sunbeds for €5 euros. We stayed on turtle beach for about a hour and watched so many people get up and go after a short time and watching the next €10 euros sit down ,there are 70 sunbeds so €700 euros if half of these are used twice in one day your looking at a €1000euros a day and as I say the turtle cause get zero euros out of this so where does it all go !

“Gerakas Bay”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 July 2013

If you are looking for a great family spot, a sandy beach and clear water- here is your place. You can walk out 75-100 meters and still stand up. Ok I am taller than most, but it is idea for families. Side note, the restaurants are up the hill, and this beach closes early because it is a turtle reserve. We did not see a shower area, but could have overlooked it.

“So beautiful”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 July 2013

Probably one of the most beautiful beaches I've ever been to. Its an important turtle nesting beach, so be mindful when you visit. The beach is breathtakingly beautiful as you can see the entire shoreline from here. The water is crystal clear, no waves, warm water, what more could you ask for? We went snorkeling. There isn't a lot of fish, but I did see an octopus. Watch out for naked people down the far end of the beach.
