Well, where do I start? On the first day of our holiday there were my husband, myself, my daughter and her partner, we arrived at the villa early and dropped off our cases. Vasso and Dennis were there to greet us full of smiles and making us feel at home instantly. The villa wasn't quite ready so Dennis drove us Freddo's cafe just along the road where we enjoyed a cold drink and some ice cream. When the villa was ready Dennis came to pick us up and Vasso gave me a full tour of the beautiful villa. We settled in very quickly. On the third day we had a small issue (nothing to do with Vasso or Dennis) and they couldn't have been more helpful, putting themselves out to help us with translation etc.
A few days later my son and his partner came out to join us. The villa still felt very spacious with six of us in there.
Vasso kept the villa pristine and Dennis kept the pool and the lawn looking lovely! The island is stunning, very lush and green as you go up the mountain. I would recommend going to the Aristeon olive press museum. It was very interesting and had a lovely man who was very knowledgable with very good English giving us a brief history. You are able to taste the oils they produce there, the only thing I would say is that they put quite a mark up on their products which you are able to find at least a Euro cheaper in the supermarkets (exactly the same).
The best restaurant we found (that was to our taste) was the one in Agalas, Cave Damianos! The staff and the food were as equally fantastic!
My husband and I had the last week to our selves, having already explored the island as fully as we could with the family, we decided to mostly chill out. We did feel that Vasso and Dennis became like family and were very sad to leave them. I couldn't recommend this villa more highly. We had a fantastic 3 weeks!
Well we knew what we wanted in a holiday and we certainly needed it and the combination of the beautiful island and the Villa that we rented certainly hit the spot!
We stayed at Olive Grove villa for two weeks in July (two adults and two teenagers) when the temperature was over 35 degrees most days and the villa provided a perfect place to retreat. The pool was so lovely, not too deep for young children and is kept beautifully clean by the owner Dennis. The villa is on a large attractive plot with olive trees, fruit trees and is very peaceful. The villa inside is well equipped to suit all of your holiday needs and is maintained to a very clean standard by Vasso. The air conditioning is very efficient to keep you comfortable through the hottest of days/nights.
Dennis and Vasso the owners were warm and friendly hosts and ready to answer any queries that we had.
A car is a must to stay in this villa as it is not really close enough to amenities to walk, however everything is on your doorstep. The villa is a ten minute drive to a number of supermarkets in one direction and Keri beach in the other. Keri is a lovely narrow but sandy beach and the I would really recommend hiring a speedboat for the day from Captains boats, this costs eighty Euros for a full day and enables you to really really explore the area.
Dennis Taverna is quite good, but for a special meal I would reccommend Mythos restaurant at Keri which has amazing views, menu, service and great cocktails all at a reasonable price.
If you want a holiday which completely rejuvinates you, this is the place to come...
We spent a week at Olive Grove at the beginning of July with our two children aged 7 and 10.
This was my first Villa holiday and I initially had my reservations about booking a villa as I wanted to be pampered and spend a lazy week in a hotel. How wrong was I!
As soon as we arrived we had a wonderfully warm welcome from Dennis and Vasso with a tour of the villa and recommendations of where to visit and the best tavernas.
The kids couldn't get their swim gear on quick enough to jump in the fantastic pool. The pool is perfect for children and adults and a game or two of water polo and is cleaned by Dennis daily.
I can't express how much we loved the novelty of a private pool for us all to enjoy.
The villa is so spacious and clean with everything we could possibly need. Air con was a god send on a hot July evening.
The BBQ is perfect for a lazy summer's evening when we were too tired for a walk to the local taverna.
The villa is in a lovely, quiet location but beaches and tavernas are easily accessible.
We hired a car through autofox from the airport - great guy.
Lidl is on the main road on the drive from the airport to the villa. We visited Lidl before going to the villa to stock up on the necessities (wine, beer and charcoal) so there was no need to move from the sun beds until the following day!
A highlight of our holiday was hiring a speed boat from Porto Koukla for an afternoon of turtle hunting! We jumped off the boat at Keri caves and snorkelled our way through the caves followed by ice cream from the floating ice cream seller on turtle island. Magical!
It was our best holiday by far and we can't wait to return next year. Thank you so much Dennis and Vasso for being such wonderful hosts. See you next year!

An excellent family break for 6 adults and a 3 year old. The villa was all you could want. Had all amenities you need on a holiday. Air Con in every room! The pool wasn’t deep, 5ft max, but was just what was needed. Ample parking. The owner Dennis arranged car hire; which was reasonably priced, and the cars were left at the airport.
Communication prior and during the holiday with Dennis and Vasso was great, replies were prompt and during our time there they were both extremely friendly and helpful. Can’t recommend this villa too highly. When we didn’t eat out we used the excellent BBQ.
The villa is in a good location to visit the whole island and there are a couple of small sandy beaches nearby, Koukala and Keri. The best Taverna in our opinion was on the outskirts of Keri Village. Taverna Sunset, the food was great, and we can recommend the Zucchini dishes and the Kontosaulvi (Pork), Also Taverna Vardiola (nearest to villa) was very good but beware the Black Wine it’s very strong!
Thanks for a wonderful week hope to return in the future.
Dennis was there to welcome us to 'Paradise' and it was. The villa, situated among olive groves was just so peaceful and private. Downstairs is open plan so lots of space, clean, comfortable furniture and excellent kitchen facilities. Upstairs was light and airy. Bedrooms were nicely decorated plenty of room to move around. Bathrooms clean and everything worked very well, water very hot so look out for young or elderly party members. Plenty of cupboard/drawer space throughout. Dennis visits every couple of days to clean the pool and will answer any questions. We stayed for two weeks Vasso (wife of Dennis) came to clean and change linen after the first week. Our friends who joined us for one week also loved it. Dennis recommended several tavernas all of which were excellent we didn't have a bad meal all holiday. I don't cook on holiday but we did have a barbecue. There is a good butcher on the main road but be careful My husband bought enough meat to feed the 5,000 only 23 euros! There is a very good little supermarket with lovely fresh fruit and veg on the road into Keri beach. Also look out for the bakery on the main road...very nice. Dennis and Vasso were friendly and helpful.
We booked the Olive Grove Villa after reading all the fantastic reviews and were not disappointed. The villa was ideal for our first family holiday to Zante (2adults 2children 15 & 11), very spacious and well equipped, various outside seating areas and large lawned area so guaranteed a perfect spot at any time of the day, surrounded by the gorgeous olive trees we found the villa to be very private and peaceful. Easy to get to from the airport, we decided to jump in a taxi and arrived within 20minutes for 22euros, hire car delivered shortly after our arrival and we spent the week touring around the beautiful island and returning early afternoon to make the most of the pool (and comfy sun beds!) which we all thoroughly enjoyed. Deep enough for a swim, yet completely safe for our children to use on their own. Unfortunately we only tried the bakery down the road just before we left (or fortunately for our waistlines) but would highly recommend it, together with the sunset at Keri lighthouse and the gorgeous sandy Banana Beach (bit of a drive but definitely worth it, the Banana Baya beach Bar served lovely food and had plenty of shade if needed. We will definitely visit Zante again and The Olive Grove Villa - we visited a large majority of the island and feel that the location of the villa was ideal.
