“Beautiful place-must visit”
Reviewed 10 August 2014

We booked the big ship to travel around the island and see all the caves and ship-wreck. I would recommend this trip to anyone as the many different places you visit are amazing, however I would recommend going on a smaller boat. We left the hotel at 8am and got back at 7pm..we were late back as the boats anchor got stuck twice. It was a very long day and due to the many hundreds that were on the boat the toilets were just not usable. That kind of ruined the trip for us...but on a smaller boat im sure the trip would be a more pleasurable experience and is not to be missed.

“"Fairly Tale" scenery”
Reviewed 29 July 2014

There are plenty of places in the world which advertise themselves with beautiful pictures of breathtaking scenery enticing us to part with out hard earned money on what ultimately turns out to be a disappointing experience and $$$ lighter in your pocket.

Smugglers Cove is not one of those places. It, like Olu Deniz in Turkey, are significantly more spectacular in real live. The pleasant boat trip there takes you past the beautiful scenery of the blue caves with crystal clear waters and rounding the lip of the cove the waters suddenly chance colour to a vivid turquoise and there before you lies the vista of smugglers cove.

The day I went the sea was too choppy for boats to be able to anchor and for he passengers to visit the beach. Many passengers were disappointed but I thought that made it even better. To see the Beach and wreck with not a soul to pollute the view somehow made the experience more special.

If you're looking at holiday brochures for the Greek islands and upon seeing the picture of smugglers cove think to yourself "that has to be photoshopped" truest me, it's not and its worth the visit.

“A must GO when in the Ionian Islands”
Reviewed 24 July 2014

So incredible this large tanker that was smuggling contraband in the 1960's washed ashore in a small cove with a 600 foot cliff surrounding it and NO WAY OUT! Check out tube to see footage of base jumping off these cliffs down to the crowd below. The only way in to the beach where this ship is, is by boat. Be careful of the swell!

“Great trip, and lovely waters.”
Reviewed 15 July 2014

The sea was the bluest I have seen and looked beautiful! The shipwreck is fascinating but would of liked to be told about the history behind why it is there. The beach is very painful on bare feet so my tip would be to take sensible shoes that you wouldn't mind wearing in the sea and getting wet. overall was a lovely experience.
