We stayed at Boschetto Villa's in Villa Chloe through James Villa's package holiday. This place is amazing!
The drive up from the airport got us thinking "where the heck are we going?" and once into the countryside you turn off and go up a non tarmac road......"uh, oh" we thought. Then you come round the corner into a slice of paradise. So far off the beaten track that you don't think it can be there!
You drive through the entrance and Pepos, the owner, is there waiting for you. He shows you to your villa and leaves you to it. It's beautiful. The villa's are all very similar but Chloe is the pick of the bunch, having a bigger pool terrace and being further away from the other 4 villa's. They are well built in local stone and the fixtures etc are of a very good quality. The pools are ok at 8x4 and though there are a few wasps etc, they are not like in the UK and never bother you.
The owners and maid are very unobtrusive but amazing. You rarely saw them but every day you get up and the pool was clean. You go out and when you get back the villa is spotless. If you have any problems wonder over to the house near the entrance and Pepos will sort it for you.
Pepos has quite a few animals and young kids will love the free roaming white rabbits. There are sheep and goats around and turkeys and chickens further away (but still visible if you ask Pepos). However they don't make any noise...even the cockerel doesn't wake up till 2pm!
Peaceful isn't the word for this place, sitting out in the evening watching the swifts dive down on the pool for a drink, or later in the dark when they are replaced by bats, was a regular occurance for us. It was amazing.
In regards to the area. It is quiet, with Taverna's not in walking distance. However, a short drive will get you some taverna's and the Keri beach is only a 15-20 minute drive away. Prices on the island are good and the atmosphere is definitely relaxed.
Don't look anywhere else than this!
