I spent 3 nights in this wonderful hotel and it was a stay beyond my expectations. However, staring from the negative points the breakfast was almost not acceptable, although the stuff was doing its best to serve everyone... The food was of not high quality and everything seemed a little bit disorganized and poorly prepared. Secondly, the noise from the nearby central square was sometimes annoying even with the windows closed. But the room was excellent and beutifully furnished and the room service really great and on time-in complete comparison with the breakfast experience. The reception was polite, friendly and with a smile on the face and I think that changed my overall rating. Maybe there is also the bias that I was really lucky and on arrival my room was upgraded.... I think that the central location of the hotel and its classis character (if you can forget its small drawbacks) is maybe one of the best choices.

Room Tip: Rooms at the upper floors

I was positively surprised to see a better, more modern, more friendly Electra. My room was nicely looking at the sea. Breakfast on the roof garden with exquisite view on Thermaikos Gulf and the snowed mountains in the far. Definitely the variety of cheese, milk fruit and other meals with healthier and more local flavours of Greece can be improved. Hopefully next time will see more of nice surprises.

Great breakfast, view and the center of the action. The rooftop restaurant has a great view and the waiters are polite and attending nicely.
However if you have car be aware of the the guy who is in front of the hotel. The first day he explained me where the garage is. It is further behind some other building. I had difficulty finding the garage and made several attempts to find it.

The next day I saw him parking the cars at the front of the hotel .So pay him 5 euro to park it rather getting his advice how to find the garage. Also know that the park will cost you 26 euro additional to hotel cost
My additional advise is when making reservations ask for the rooms looking at the square in front. Otherwise you will end up looking at some weird buildings behind.

Room Tip: It was rainy February. The rain was leaking through the balcony door.So be aware not to put your belo...

Electra Palace is a "monument" in town! famous, amazing, very comfortable and luxury! Our room was big, nice and cmofortable kingsize bed, bathroom huge too and, finally, with a bidet like in my town in Italy eheheh (details make difference!). Service was super, perfect location closed to best views, bars, restaurant and sea! Go for a wine glass on the 7th floor terrace to enjoy the amazing town view! dont forget to spend 2 hours in the spa and gym if u have time! I will come back soon! thanx.

I spent five nights in the Electra Palace in early February, and enjoyed my stay very much. The Electra Palace was once the finest hotel in the city, and, while that may no longer be true, it remains an excellent choice. The location is great if you are looking for a location in downtown Thessaloniki. The staff was extremely courteous and helpful. The breakfast room has great views of the sea. But here is the only problem: potential noise. This depends on the floor and the position of your room on the floor. I recommend a room facing the sea to the left of the elevators as you face the sea. Don't miss the "Plaisir" delicatessen that connects with the hotel.

The Electra Palace was a superb experience. It is centrally located, with top-notch amenities. It is walking distance to the museums, to the best cafes, taverns and night clubs in Thessaloniki, and to the old market place. The breakfast was splendid. The hotel was clean and the staff most friendly and helpful. Internet access was good. Our room had a beautiful view of the central square and the Aegean Sea. This was a business trip, but I will go back for a few days for a relaxing vacation.

Room Tip: I recommend a room with a sea view. It is a bit more expensive but in my opinion, sitting on the ba...

Built in one of the most impressive city squares of Greece, Aristotelous Sq., facing the endless sea of the Thermaikos Gulf, its architecture at once imposing and noble, it is one of the city's architectural gems. Inside the hotel's byzantine-inspired exterior, hides a neoclassical heart: wood paneling, marble inlay and wooden floors, plush carpets, cabriole and chesterfield sofas, ornate furniture, luxurious details, generous amenities and, of course, breathtaking views: on a clear day one can easily see as far as mount Olympus across the gulf. Beneath the Electra Palace Thessaloniki's windows and balconies, lies the lively center of a vibrant city: Aristotelous Square. In between city square and mighty mountain, the expansive horizon, the endless blue of the sea. Right in the heart of city, the Electra Palace Thessaloniki is ideally located whether you are in town for business or pleasure: within walking distance from the shopping district, the Thessaloniki International Exhibition Center, most major monuments, museums and sites, the Ladadika area and right across from Olympion cinema that hosts the Thessaloniki International Film Festival, it is the place to stay when meeting with business partners, attending trade shows, enjoying the city's rich cultural scene or exploring its nightlife.
