Very interested museum located at the heart of the city! Excellent exhibitions with detailed information about each project! It is suitable for both families and kids.
Furthemore, the museum seems new, it is very clean with friendly staff ( Greek-English speaking)! I fully recommend it!

First of all I would like to say that the location of the museum on TA current map is not correct: the museum is located on the grounds of Thessaloniki International Fair, pretty close to the Archaeological Museum.
I was surprised by the number and quality of works displayed in this museum. Actually I knew nothing about the Greek contemporary artists before my visit to the museum. There are a lot of categories and types of expression: paintings, sculptures, photography, engravings, drawings, collages, videos … I don’t know the English name of all of them. My favorites in the museum were Greek Monsters Collection and the works of Aperghis Achilleas.
A good mark is that you are allowed to take pictures inside the museum, so you can keep your memories fresh. The gift shop is also very interesting.

Greek artist who lived mainly in France. The Macedonian Museum of Contemporary Art displays a variety of his works, bronze and marble sculptures, stainless steel and brass installations, tapestry etc. from all his creative periods. Further one can see on three stories the museum's permanent collection.
I'm not giving 5 stars to this cosy museum because of the lack of audio guides or any other available guided tour.
